NCAA Basketball Parlay Picks of the Week

#6 Alabama at Memphis

This game will be entertaining to say the least. Alabama, one of the best teams in college basketball this year travels to Memphis who has been disappointing so far. Alabama comes in off a crazy win over Houston this weekend where fireworks flew, and Memphis is struggling.

Memphis this year is 5-4 on the season with a 4-1 record at home. The Tigers who were expected to be a better team, have disappointed many. Much of the reason for the bad play is that they lead the nation in turnovers. They have not quite received the play they wanted from Emoni Bates and the Tigers need to turn it around.

Alabama comes in at 8-1 and will have their first true road game of the season. The Crimson Tide won 83-82 over Houston at home this weekend in a game that had Kelvin Sampson and his crew not very happy. The Tide could get a big win in a tough environment on Tuesday.

Spread: Alabama -3.5

Arizona State at Creighton

This is going to be another great matchup on Tuesday night on FS1. Bobby Hurley and his Aztecs travel to Nebraska to take on the Creighton Blue Jays. Arizona State has struggled so far this year, but Creighton is keeping pace in the Big East.

Arizona State comes in at 4-6 on the season with many tough losses. In those six losses, they lost five straight. Losses to Loyola, Syracuse, Baylor, San Diego State, and Washington State. Not an ideal start for Bobby Hurley and company.

Creighton may be one of the better teams in the Big East this year. Since leaving the Missouri Valley Conference, Creighton has been just as relevant if not even more than they were in the MVC. The Blue Jays did suffer a tough loss to Iowa State, but they just picked up a ranked win over BYU

Spread: Creighton -7.5

Furman at North Carolina

Furman is off to a hot start this year but they have to travel to Chapel Hill and take on the Tar Heels on Tuesday night. In a year without Roy Williams, North Carolina is no pushover. The Paladins and Tar Heels will battle it out on Tuesday night.

North Carolina is a team many will sleep on in the ACC this season. The focus will be around Duke and Florida State, but look out for the Tar Heels. Hubert Davis did not accept an easy role and has big shoes to fill after taking over for legendary coach Roy Williams. So far he has done a nice job with a 7-2 start being 5-0 at home, most notably beating Michigan in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Furman is no pushover either this season. They are 7-3 and they beat Louisville at the start of the season. Besides that, there is not much else to write home about nationally as they lost to Belmont, Navy, and Winthrop since the big win over the Cardinals. They will still be a force and tough out in the Southern Conference.

Spread: North Carolina -12
