KU overcame a sluggish first half in which it led by just one to shoot 50% from the field after the break. Alondes Williams scored all 14 of his points in the second half for the Sooners, who outscored the Cyclones 50-25 after the break. The 90 points overall were one shy of OU’s season high. Williams has scored in double figures four of his past six games after doing so just twice all season previously.
Kristian Doolittle had 20 points for Oklahoma and Brady Manek 18. The Sooners have won their past four home games in Norman by an average of 18 points per game, with each win coming by at least 10 points. “We knew going into the Kansas game, we couldn’t look past this,” Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger said of the ISU game.

Manek is the Big 12’s second-leading scorer during conference play, averaging 16.1 points against league foes. Only Kansas guard Devon Dotson (16.7) is averaging more. Manek leads the Big 12 in 3-pointers per game during conference play with 3.0 treys. He is sinking his treys at a 44.8% clip during Big 12 play, which is second in the conference.

KU (21-3, 10-1) won its ninth in a row Wednesday, 58-49 at No. 14 West Virginia. The Jayhawks scored the game’s final nine points. Kansas’ Marcus Garrett had four of his five steals over the final seven minutes. West Virginia fell flat in the end after leading by as many as nine points in each half and lost at home for the first time this season. The Mountaineers scored just one point and failed to hit a field goal over the final six minutes. The Jayhawks had lost in five of their previous seven trips to Morgantown.
Devon Dotson scored 11 of his 15 points after halftime, and Isaiah Moss had seven of his 13 points during the second half. The KU defense held West Virginia to just 27.5% shooting in the second half. The win gave the Jayhawks 10 conference wins for the 26th-consecutive season, a streak which dates back to 1995. The victory also marked the second-straight game the Jayhawks have held their opponent to fewer than 50 points. Kansas last held back-to-back Big 12 opponents to under 50 in January of 2013, when KU held Texas Tech (46) and Baylor (44) below the half-century mark.
Kansas has now held 15 of its 24 opponents this season to below 40% shooting after the Mountaineers went 31.7% (19-of-60) for the day. Kansas’ 13 steals were their most in a Big 12 game this season.
