Gonzaga +600 Analysis: For me, Gonzaga (34-1 SU, 22-9 ATS) is undoubtedly the ‘smart’ pick to win the 2017 national championship because of their ‘smart’ style of play and excellence at both ends of the floor, not to mention their pair of likely NBA performers and a head coach that is as good as any in the country. If the Zags do have a weakness, I believe it’s their lack of matchups this season against elite – and superior athletically ballclubs – like the West Virginia team they’ll face in the Sweet 16.

The Value Pick To Win The NCAA Championship:

West Virginia +2000 Analysis: Speaking of the Mountaineers (28-8 SU, 14-16 ATS), I’m thinking Bob Huggins’ press-first and pres at all costs style of play could carry West Virginia much further than anyone expected coming into the tournament. The Mountaineers force turnovers like they’re going out of style and have a sure-fire NBA performer in guard Daxter Miles Jr.

The Longshot To Win The NCAA Championship:

Michigan +3000 Analysis: Michigan (26-11 SU, 17-17 ATS) didn’t reach the top 25 national rankings all season, but if you want me to be honest, the Wolverines have played like the best team in the country for the better part of the last four weeks and definitely since the NCAA Tournament started. Michigan has won seven straight and nine of 10 and got past a Louisville squad that was ranked in the top 10 virtually all season long. The Wolverines can shoot the ball as well as any team in the country and just look like they have a date with destiny at this point.
