Virginia Cavaliers
The Virginia Cavaliers have only lost 2 games all season long, but perhaps more importantly, they have the best defensive record in college basketball, giving up just 52.8 PPG. They finished the regular season ranked as the #1 team in the nation, a position that thy held for much of the second half. It is going to take a very good offensive team to break the Cavaliers down and beat them in the tournament.Villanova Wildcats
The Wildcats are just a couple of years removed from their last National Championship and are once again in among the favorites to win it all again. They closed out the season with a 27-4 record, good enough to get them into the #2 spot in the nation. They had a relatively early exit in the tournament last season but look better equipped to make another deep run this time around.Duke Blue Devils
Duke are a team with a rich history in the tournament, winning it as recently as 2015 and making no less than 16 Final Four appearances in their history. With over 85 PPG, Duke have one of the best offenses in the country. They are also giving up less than 70 PPG this year, so there is a balance there that is sure to make them a legitimate threat to make a deep run when March Madness gets started on Tuesday.
