Usually by this stage of the season, we have a solid grasp on which teams are going to make a run at a National Championshipb, and which ones are going to be the whipping boys for the remainder of the year. Then there are a couple who make you scratch your head a little because you are not entirely sure what to make of them. It may sound a little odd to put the number 2 team in the nation in that bracket, but there are a lot of people who are not entirely convinced by them at this point. Yes, they are winning, but they are not exactly doing it in blowout style. They will have another game that shouldn’t test them too much this coming Saturday when the Oklahoma State Cowboys come to town. While it’s a game that, on paper at least, looks straightforward, it’s also one that probably won’t do much to tell us anything more about this Jayhawks team. All they can do is keep winning until they hammer home the point that they are a team to be reckoned with.
