This does not appear to be a match-up that lends itself to a straight up Eagles win, but perhaps they can find a way to keep the score a little respectable and cover the spread. Why bet on the Boston College Eagles

I understand that it’s my job to give all of you reasons to bet on Boston College (7-13, 0-7), but this task is going to be a whole lot trickier than most. They have lost 7 straight, all against conference foes, and they have had 3 games against ranked opponents during that stretch. They played Duke, Pittsburgh, and Miami, and lost all 3 games by an average of 18 points. That is perhaps not as dire as it could be, but you have to ask if they will be able to keep things that close against a North Carolina team that is a good deal more talented than those 3 opponents. The Eagles are dead last in the ACC right now, and could be on to a hiding in this one, if I am being honest. Boston College are averaging just 63.0 PPG, and are giving up 68.6 PPG.

Why bet on the North Carolina Tar Heels

The most obvious reason is because this might be a pretty stress free way to beef up your bankroll. You are not going to get much value playing the Tar Heels (18-2, 7-0) straight up, but you are going to get a pretty safe bet. You have to go all the way back to the middle of December to find the last time North Carolina lost a game. They have won 11-straight since that loss to Texas, and they have been lighting up the scoreboard in a BIG way. They really haven’t been challenged too much in conference play, and I see no reason why that trend will change this weekend. The fact of the matter is that the Tar Heels will be just too much for Boston College to handle. North Carolina are averaging 85.7 PPG, and are giving up 70.7 PPG.
