The last two times that the Connecticut Huskies (25-10, 11-7) made it into the tournament, they ended up heading home with the National Championship in hand. That is the sort of pedigree that you simply cannot argue with, and you can bet that this is a team that no-one wants to face in the postseason. They got this playoff campaign off to a winning start by taking out the Colorado Buffaloes in the opening round of Midwest Region action. Yes, the top seed is supposed to always beat the 16, but you don’t always see it done in such stunning fashion. That win saw the Jayhawks extend their winning streak to a formidable 15 games, and they are now at the point where you start to wonder if anyone can beat them. This match-up is about as tough as it gets for a round of 32 game, but Kansas looks like an incredibly confident bunch right now. The Jayhawks are averaging 81.6 PPG, and are giving up 67.7 PPG.

I really do believe that this game will live up to all the hype that it’s getting right now, and I expect it to be close from start to finish.
