Analyzing the 2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds

Alabama – Over 11, -110 vs Under 11, -120

The Crimson Tide play a relatively easy schedule. But, and this is huge, they must battle rival Auburn. Will that game lead to a win or loss? Probably, it will lead to a win because Auburn beat Alabama last season. Auburn never beats Alabama two seasons in a row.

There’s a good chance that Alabama’s only loss is to LSU on Nov. 3. That gives them 11 wins before the SEC Championship and their bowl game. Over looks like a lock.

2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds Prediction:  Over 11

Arizona – Over 7 ½, -120 vs Under 7 ½, -110

Total bettors are all, well, over the over. The Arizona Wildcats should win at least 8 games this season: BYU, Houston, SUU, Oregon State, Cal, Oregon, Colorado, ASU. That’s 8 games. There’s also a chance that Arizona upsets USC, Utah, or Oregon. Then, there’s the Wildcat’s bowl game.

Why should Arizona win so many games this season? New coach Kevin Sumlin is a huge upgrade over former coach Rich Rodriguez.

2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds Prediction: Over 7 ½

Central Florida – Over 9, -125 vs Under 9, -105

Central Florida went undefeated last season. Their victories included beating Auburn 34 to 27 in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. But, Central Florida lost their coach to a Big 5 Conference team. Will that have an impact on how well the Golden Knights perform this season?

Probably not. Josh Huepel, UCF’s new coach, ran Missouri’s offense. He has coaching experience in the SEC and the Big 12. He knows what he’s doing. Not just that, but Central Florida plays in the AAC. It won’t take much for Central Florida to win at least 10 games this season.

2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds Prediction:  Over 9

Michigan – Over 9, -110 vs Under 9, -120

Are the Wolverines a safe bet for the 2018 College Football season?

Jim Harbaugh’s squad has some talent. There’s no doubt about that. What is in doubt is whether the talent on offense can gel behind a suspect offensive line. Here’s a tip:  offensive line experience is the single biggest determining factor as to whether or not a team goes over or under their win total. With that in mind, Michigan could be one of the easier under bets on the board.

2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds Prediction: Michigan Under 9

Ohio State – Over 10 ½, -120 vs Under 10 ½, -110

Michigan’s biggest rival, the Ohio State Buckeyes, have more questions on offense than Michigan does. The reason is because Ohio State may, or may not, have a quarterback that can lead them to huge wins.

Also, the Buckeyes play TCU, Penn State, and Michigan State on the road this season. Even if Michigan doesn’t have a great offensive line, the game between the two teams is always a battle. Nebraska will be better this season. I smell under the total.

2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds Prediction: Under 10 ½

Georgia – Over 10 ½, -115, vs Under 10 ½, -115

The total for the Georgia Bulldogs is flat out ridiculous. Georgia lost 8 starters on defense. They lost their two best rushers on offense. The entire SEC East Division has become better than it was last season.

Yes, Georgia doesn’t have to play Alabama this season. But, they must play Auburn, at LSU, and improved teams in Florida and Tennessee. 3 regular season losses looks about right.

2018 NCAA Football Total Win Odds Prediction:  Under 10 ½
