NCAA Football Week 11 SU Picks

Written by on November 6, 2018

We are at the stage of the college football season where races start to be won and playoff positions start to take shape. The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers are, barring some minor miracle, going to be in the playoffs, which means that just 2 spots are going to be available for the handful of teams still in with a shot at getting in. There are a lot of big games on the Week 11 betting table, some of which we will cover here in our SU picks for the week. We will also have ATS and O/U picks coming out to you guys, so be sure to get on those, too.

NCAA Football Week 11 SU Picks

Penn State Nittany Lions over Wisconsin Badgers

It has been a bit of a disappointing season for both of these teams, as they both came into the new season with designs on the playoffs. Both are now sitting at 6-3, and while they will have bowl games ahead of them in the future, those games will feel like nothing more than a consolation prize.

It’s going to be interesting to see how these two teams approach the final few weeks of the season with essentially nothing left to play for. As far as this game goes, I think we are in for a tight one, but I give a slight edge to the Nittany Lions at home.

Ohio State Buckeyes over Michigan State Spartans

A few weeks ago, this game would have looked like a lock for the Buckeyes but given the events of the last couple of weeks, they are now in as a mild 3 ½ point favorite over the Michigan State Spartans. There is still a playoff path open for the Buckeyes, but they need to be perfect from this point forward and they also need to look good getting those wins.

I think they might have a tough time breaking down a Spartans defense that has been on fire over the last couple of weeks, although I ultimately believe that the Buckeyes will get the win they need.

Pittsburgh Panthers over Virginia Tech Hokies

Over in the ACC, the Clemson Tigers essentially have the Atlantic Division locked up, but who they will face in the Conference Championship game remains a bit of a mystery. The race in the Coastal Division is tight, but it could all become a little clearer this weekend.

Virginia Tech is no favorite for NCAA Football Week 11.

As it stands right now, Pitt has the inside track with a 4-1 conference record, but the Hokies and Cavaliers are both nippings at their heels. The reality here, though, is that the Panthers control their own destiny, which is something I don’t see them losing control of this weekend. I am on Pitt to win this one.

Utah Utes over Oregon Ducks

The PAC 12 is another conference that is going to go down to the wire to see who hooks up in the Conference Championship Game. The Washington Cougars look like a good bet in the North Division, but there are 3 teams knotted up with a 4-3 record in the South.

It is the Utah Utes who hold a slight edge there right now, and they can certainly help their cause if they can pick up the win over Oregon this weekend. The Utes are 3-1 SU at home this season while the Ducks have a losing record on the road. Give the edge to Utah.
