NCAA Football Week 12 Over/Under Picks

Written by on November 13, 2018

This week represents the penultimate weekend of the college football season, and while it is somewhat sparse in big, meaningful games, there are still plenty of great betting opportunities out there that will allow us all to boost our bankrolls. For the purposes of this piece, we are going to focus solely on the point total wagers. We have picked out 4 games that we think can pay out on the O/U, but for those of you who prefer playing SU or ATS, we have some picks there, too, all of which can be found in separate articles. For now, let’s get right to our O/U picks for Week 12 of the college football season.

NCAA Football Week 12 Over/Under Picks

Arkansas Razorbacks at Mississippi State Bulldogs (OVER 46 ½)

The Razorbacks have been brutal this season, winning just 2 of their 10 games to this point. It certainly doesn’t help that they have been giving up over 400 YPG on defense this season, which could prove to be a real problem against a Mississippi State team that has been effective at moving the ball but not so good at getting it into the end zone.

I have a feeling that may change this weekend, as I like the Bulldogs to put some points on the board. 8 of the last 11 meetings between these two teams have gone OVER the point total and I would be surprised if it didn’t happen again this weekend.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Arkansas’s last 9 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Mississippi State’s last 5 games at home

USF Bulls at Temple Owls (OVER 61)

The Bulls have seen their season start to crumble, losing 3 in a row after winning their first 7 games of the year. While they are a rather dodgy SU pick, the same cannot really be said when it comes to the O/U, as they are routinely getting caught up in high-scoring games. In fact, 4 of the last 6 games that the Bulls have played on the road have gone OVER.

That is a trend that is matched by the Temple Owls, with 4 of their last 6 home games also going OVER. Both of these teams are averaging over 30 PPG this season, so I think the OVER looks to be the wager here.

  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of South Florida’s last 6 games on the road
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Temple’s last 6 games

Utah State Aggies at Colorado State Rams (OVER 68)

It has been an absolutely outstanding year for the Aggies, as they come into this game with a 9-1 record at the Mountain West Conference, scoring over 51 PPG on their way to a dominating season. They look as though they could very easily reach that number again this weekend versus a Rams team that is allowing over 38 PPG on defense.

Utah State is one of the favorites for NCAA Football Week 12.

It is the Rams who hold the winning edge in recent meetings, with 4 of the last 7 games between these two going the route of the under. I don’t think we are going to see that this weekend, though, especially with 8 of the last 10 Aggies games going OVER.

  • The total has gone OVER in 8 of Utah State’s last 10 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Colorado State’s last 5 games at home

Air Force Falcons at Wyoming Cowboys (UNDER 42)

This is one of those games where the trends when the two teams meet somewhat go against what is currently happening. For example, Air Force has seen 15 of their last 21 rod games go over, yet only 1 of their last 5 visits to Wyoming have gone that route.

Wyoming is very much following the UNDER trend no matter what, with 6 of their last 9 home games going that way, as well as 9 of their last 11 meetings overall with the Falcons. I think we are in for a low-scoring one here where the UNDER hits.
