NCAA Football Week 12 SU Picks

Written by on November 13, 2018

The top 4 teams in college football look to have themselves a bit of an easy weekend, save for perhaps the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, as they have the Shamrock Series versus Syracuse ahead of them on Saturday. While things are a little quieter at the top, there are still some very good games on tap, which means a lot of handicapping in your future. We are ding out part to help by giving out 4 SU picks for Week 12 of the college football betting action. We also have ATS and O/U picks coming your way, so be sure to get in on those, too.

NCAA Football Week 12 SU Picks

Northwestern Wildcats over Minnesota Golden Gophers

The Wildcats go on the road to Minnesota safe in the knowledge that they already have a bowl game locked up. The same cannot be said for the Golden Gophers, though, as they need one more win to become bowl eligible.

That nugget makes this game more than a little interesting, and with the bookies having this one as a tight affair, we could be in for a bit of an edgy game here. I don’t see a lot of points hitting the board in this one, as this is likely to be decided by a FG or less. I am on the Wildcats to go on the road and get the win.

Michigan State Spartans over Nebraska Cornhuskers

After a truly awful start, the Cornhuskers are starting to put some wins on the board and were more than a little unfortunate not to take out Ohio State a couple of weeks ago.

The question now is whether they can do enough to take down a Spartans defense that has been playing some very good football this season. Michigan State is not a team that is going to light anyone up offensively, but that D can slow down the very best offenses out there. I think that the Spartans will frustrate the Cornhuskers, doing just enough to get the road win.

Purdue Boilermakers over Wisconsin Badgers

The Boilermakers got some national attention after hammering Ohio State 49-20 a few weeks ago, but they have struggled to live up to that performance ever since. The Boilermakers are just 1-2 SU in the 3 games since that huge win and have only covered the spread once in those 3 games.

Purdue is one of the favorites for NCAA Football Week 12.

They will be going against a Badgers team that is having a very disappointing season and that has also lost 2 of their last 3, although they failed to cover in any of those defeats. Purdue is just a little better in the offensive side of the football than Wisconsin, and it is that slight edge that may well prove to be the difference here.

Missouri Tigers over Tennessee Volunteers

The Volunteers are in the middle of a rebuild under first-year head coach Jeremy Pruitt, so you have to say that a bowl appearance would be a bit of a win.

They can get eligible with a win at home this weekend against the Missouri Tigers, but you have to wonder how their defense is going to hold up against Drew Lock and a potent Tigers attack. Lock will be off to the NFL next season and will be looking to showcase his talents to the teams who might be interested in his services. Look for the Tigers to go off on the Vols.
