NCAA Football Week 14 Over/Under Picks

Written by on November 27, 2018

Every weekend in the college football season delivers something special and memorable, but this coming weekend may just top everything we have seen to this point in the season. It is Championship Weekend, with a few of the games set to have an impact on the final playoff standings. Can NCAAF Underdog Georgia take out the defending champions and get in, or will they lose and open the door for either Oklahoma or Ohio State? Only time will tell, so for now. Let’s focus on making some O/U picks for the weekend. Be sure to keep an eye out for our SU and ATS picks, too.

NCAA Football Week 14 Over/Under Picks

Texas Longhorns vs Oklahoma Sooners (OVER 78 ½)

The last meeting between these two, which came earlier this season, saw a game that delivered a total of 93 points. With this one being for all the marbles, we may see a game that is a little less open. That said, the Oklahoma defense has done nothing this season to suggest that they are able to shut an opponent down, so Texas is going to put some points on the board, with a 30+ point showing very much likely.

Oklahoma has all the offensive tools they need to match and better the Longhorns here, and given their defensive woes, they may need to bring all of them to the table. I am taking the OVER on this one, although I think it might be close.

  • The total has gone OVER in 6 of Oklahoma’s last 9 games when playing Texas

Fresno State Bulldogs vs Boise State Broncos (UNDER 50 ½)

Over the past decade or so, the Boise State Broncos developed a reputation as a high-scoring, offensive-minded football team, and their 37 PPG this season suggests that the trend has continued this year. One of the few games where they really had trouble moving the football this season was against Fresno State, a game that the Broncos eventually won 24-17.

The Bulldogs are not far off the offensive pace set by the Broncos this season, but everything here, including their last meeting, point to a low-scoring affair. 5 of the last 6 meetings between these two in Boise have gone UNDER.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Boise State’s last 5 games at home

Clemson Tigers vs Pitt Panthers (OVER 54)

The Clemson Tigers have once again proven themselves to be the class of the ACC, and barring some major collapse in this one, they will be in the college football playoffs yet again.

Clemson is one of the favorites for NCAA Football Week 14.

I don’t really see any scenario where Pitt comes up with the win here, and with the playoffs ahead of them, Clemson will likely come out hot in an effort to put this one away as early as possible so that they can think About preserving some of their starters. This might allow Pitt to score some points in garbage time taking this on OVER the point total.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Pittsburgh’s last 6 games

UAB Blazers vs Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (OVER 45)

These two teams will be hooking up for the second consecutive weekend, only this time it will be for the Conference USA Title. It was Middle Tennessee who got the win last week, putting in a great defensive showing to come away with a 27-3 win.

That was certainly an unexpected showing for a UAB team that has been averaging close to 30 PPG this season, and I think it is going to be tough for Middle Tennessee to shut them down in back to back games. It has been the under that has prevailed most often for both teams, but I think this one creeps OVER.
