2019 College Football Week 13 Odds, Overview & Picks

Written by on November 18, 2019

Can fourth-ranked Georgia avoid the big upset against visiting Texas A&M to keep their College Football Playoff hopes intact?

Will the 13th-ranked Baylor Bears bounce back from their first loss of the season to take out Texas in their Lone Star State matchup? Last but not least, can top-ranked LSU cover the chalk as a huge, 46-point home favorite against lowly Arkansas when the two meet in their SEC showdown (mismatch?) on Saturday? If you’re looking for some expert college football picks for the upcoming Week 13 slate of action, then let’s get to my trio of expert picks on all three aforementioned contests.

2019 College Football Week 13 Odds, Overview & Picks

Texas A&M (7-3) at No. 4 Georgia (9-1)

  • When: Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:30 PM ET
  • Where: Sanford Stadium, Athens, Georgia
  • TV: CBS
  • College Football Week 13 Odds: Georgia -13.5 / Total: 46

Georgia has won four straight including a hard-fought 21-14 win over No. 16 Auburn on Saturday. Texas A&M has also won four straight including a convincing 30-6 win over South Carolina this past weekend. The bad news for the Aggies however is that they have suffered all three of their losses this season against powerhouse opponents along the lines of Georgia.

While the Bulldogs have an elite defense that limits the opposition to just 10.5 points per game, if nothing else, Texas A&M can put points on the board. With Georgia going 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and the Aggies going 11-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, I like Texas A&M to narrowly cover the spread as nearly two touchdown road dogs!

Pick: Georgia 31 Texas A&M 21

No. 19 Texas (6-4) at No. 13 Baylor (9-1)

  • When: Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 3:30 PM ET
  • Where: McLane Stadium, Waco, Texas
  • TV: FS1
  • College Football Week 13 Odds: Baylor -4 / Total: 59.5

Texas came up small in their 23-21 loss to Iowa State on Saturday while dropping their second game in their last three and third loss in their last five games overall. While Baylor Baylor suffered a crushing defeat in their stunning 34-31 comeback loss against Oklahoma, the Bears are the far better defensive team in this matchup, not to mention the fact that they’re playing at home in Waco. Baylor has beaten both, TCU and Iowa State while Texas has lost to both conference rivals.

More importantly, the Bears will be completely locked in and focused on finishing with one regular season loss while getting some revenge for their narrow, 23-17 road loss against the Longhorns last season. Texas has gone an uninspiring 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win while Baylor has gone a near-perfect 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against a team with a winning record and 6-2 ATS in their last eight Big 12 conference clashes. I like the Bears to get the win and ATS cover in this one against a Texas team that has underachieved all season long despite entering the 2019 campaign with some legitimate Big 12 title hopes.

Pick: Baylor 31 Texas 24

Arkansas (2-8) at LSU (10-0)

  • When: Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 7:00 PM ET
  • Where: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  • TV: ESPN
  • College Football Week 13 Odds: LSU -46 / Total: 72.5

Arkansas’s football program is in complete shambles right now. The Razorbacks have lost seven consecutive games including a pair of identical 41-point losses in two of their last four games. Arkansas has failed to score more than 27 points in each of their last seven games and they average 25.5 fewer points per game than top-ranked LSU. Joe Burrow is in the midst of a Heisman Trophy kind of campaign and the Tigers have scored 42 points or more in eight of their 10 games this season.

While there is absolutely no chance that Arkansas pulls off the outright upset, I am going to advise you to go along with the 60 percent of public bettors are currently backing Arkansas as an insane 46-point underdog. The Razorbacks are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games against LSU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road dates against the Tigers. With LSU going 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games, I think the handwriting is on the wall for a Razorbacks cover.

Pick: LSU 56 Arkansas 20
