However, after losing star running back Saquon Barkley two seasons ago and longtime starting quarterback Trace McSorley following last season, the Nittany Lions are in for a bunch of changes in 2019.

Iowa Hawkeyes at Iowa State Cyclones

Iowa and Iowa State will be going all-out for the coveted Cy-Hawk Trophy when they resume their annual rivalry in Week 3. Iowa went 9-4 a year ago and 5-4 in the Big ten West while finishing 44th in scoring (31.2 ppg) and a stellar 11th in points allowed (17.8 ppg). Iowa State went 8-5 and 6-3 in the Big 12 a year ago while ranking 83rd in scoring 926.8 ppg) and 37th in points allowed (22.9 ppg). The Cyclones have lost four straight in this series, including their pitiful 43-7 shellacking at the hands of the Hawkeyes a year ago. Despite being on the road, Iowa looks like a solid pick for the outright road win.

Florida at Kentucky

Florida recorded an impressive 10-3 mark in Year 1 of the Dan Mullen year while finishing last season ranked an impressive 22nd in scoring (35.0 ppg) and 20th in points allowed (20.0 ppg).  After capping off last season with a statement-making 41-15 blowout win over Michigan, the Gators are looking to become legitimate national championship contenders in 2019.

Kentucky recorded their best record in four decades by going an impressive 10-3 while finishing 85th in scoring (26.6 ppg), but a stellar sixth in points allowed (16.8 ppg). Could the Wildcats get the big upset here in Week 3? It could happen.
