2019 College Football Week 9 Over/Under Betting Picks

Written by on October 22, 2019

The college football season is coming down to the wire and it won’t be long now until the playoff committee begins releasing their official rankings. They may have their work cut out for them when they get started, as we are now routinely seeing top teams start to drop games. Georgia and Wisconsin have lost in consecutive weeks, and with some huge games still to come, we may not have seen the last of the upsets for the season.

Will we see any of those upset games in Week 9? That remains to be seen, but we are going to look ahead to see of we can find some good picks to play. We are going to concentrate on the O/U picks for Week 9, but we will also have ATS and SU picks coming your way.

2019 College Football Week 9 Over/Under Betting Picks

Oklahoma Sooners at Kansas State Wildcats (OVER 57 ½)

The Big 12 Conference is always the place to go if you are looking for games with a ton of offense. It’s fun for the casual observer who wants to watch a shootout, but it can be tough for bettors given that the point totals can often be set rather high.

Oklahoma is averaging a touch over 50 PPG this season, so we don’t really need to see much of an offensive showing from Kansas in this one for the OVER to hit. The Sooners have seen the OVER hit in 10 of their last 14 games against conference opponents. The last 5 games between these two in Kansas have also gone OVER.

College Football Week 9 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone OVER in 10 of Oklahoma’s last 14 games against an opponent in the Big 12 conference
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Kansas State’s last 8 games at home

Iowa Hawkeyes at Northwestern Wildcats in College Football Week 9 (UNDER 37 ½)

Most weeks in college football, there are some games that just jump off the page when you are looking for point total picks to play. For me, this was one of them, as these are a pair of teams who always seem to be trending towards the UNDER.

Combined, these two are 3-9-1 O/U this season, which tells you that we are not looking at a couple of offensively gifted teams. In the last 6 visits to Northwestern, the Iowa Hawkeyes have seen the UNDER hit 5 times. 10 of the last 14 meetings between these two have gone UNDER.

College Football Week 9 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Iowa’s last 5 games this season
  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Northwestern’s last 5 games played in week 9

Wisconsin Badgers at Ohio State Buckeyes (OVER 50)

Oftentimes, you get a pair of offensive giants going head to head, which leads you to assume that their meeting will produce some serious fireworks. It doesn’t always turn out that way, though, as these teams often cancel one another out. I don’t see that being the case this weekend, though, as I think we are going to see these two deliver some offensive magic.

Wisconsin is one of the favorites for College Football Week 9.

In October games, the Ohio State Buckeyes have seen 6 of their last 8 games go OVER. I think this one will easily surpass the 50-point total.

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Wisconsin’s last 5 games on the road
  • The total has gone OVER in 7 of Ohio State’s last 8 games played in week 9

Missouri Tigers at Kentucky Wildcats in College Football Week 9 (UNDER 47 ½)

The Missouri Tigers have had themselves a very good season with Kelly Bryant at QB, but their loss last weekend may have killed their chances of winning the SEC East. They will try to rebound this weekend versus a Kentucky Wildcats team that has been struggling to score all season long.

While Missouri have been winning, they are not having much success hitting their point totals this season, seeing 5 of their last 6 games go UNDER. 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two have gone UNDER, so I think that is where we are going again this weekend.

College Football Week 9 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 6 of Missouri’s last 6 games played in week 9
  • The total has gone OVER in 5 of Kentucky’s last 6 games at home
