NCAAF Season Week 13 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on November 23, 2020

It’s a bit of a different schedule that we have in Week 13 of the college football season. Thanksgiving Day is on Thursday of this week, so to celebrate the day, we have a number of very good games set to go on Friday, a day that a lot of folks will have off from work as they look to recover from a huge meal on Thursday. The midweek games are generally reserved for the smaller conferences in college football, but there are some meaningful games set to go on Friday, one of which is going to make it into our ATS picks for Week 13. Please be aware, though, that all of these games are subject to postponement at any given time, so keep an eye on any changes when you go to wager. That said, let’s get right to our ATS picks so you can go and place your bets against their NCAAF odds.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish (-4) at UNC Tar Heels

Let’s get the ball rolling with a Friday game that could potentially have a huge impact on the National Rankings. Both of these teams are sitting in the top 25, but let’s be honest, it is the Irish who are under more pressure coming into this one. Notre Dame has a perfect 8-0 record on the season, which has them very much in the top 4, but we all know that a single loss can change everything very quickly. The Tar Heels have dropped a couple of games this season, but they are still a very healthy 6-2 on the year and are playing at home, where they have covered 3 of 4 this season. The Irish are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games, but perhaps more convincing is the fact that that they have covered in each of their last 6 games played in the month of November.

Texas Tech Red Raiders at Oklahoma State Cowboys (-11)

We now switch to Saturday for a Big 12 matchup that features a pair of teams who have been struggling to get wins over the past few weeks. Texas Tech did manage to get a win over Baylor last weekend, but that was just their second win in their last 7 games, so not anything to get too excited about. After a very positive start to the season, the Oklahoma State Cowboys are now on a run that has seen them lose 2 of their last 3 games, including a blowout loss to the Sooners in a rivalry game last weekend. You have to like their chances of bouncing back against a Texas Tech team that has failed to cover the spread in each of their last 5 road games. The Cowboys have covered in 10 of the last 15 games they started as a favorite.

Colorado Buffaloes (+13 ½) at USC Trojans

The PAC 12 has only recently seen their season begin, but they have already been rather heavily impacted by COVID, with a number of games already getting pulled from the schedule. For now, this one is still on, but keep an eye on things to see if it stays that way. Both of these teams are off to positive starts to the season, as both come into this one with unbeaten records. The Colorado Buffaloes are 2-0 and have covered the spread in both their games this season. Going back to last year, they have actually covered in 4 of their last 5 overall. The Trojans are off to a 3-0 start, but they have covered just once in those 4 games and failed to cover in their lone game at home this year.
