NCAAF 2020 Season Week 14 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

NCAAF Season Week 14 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on November 30, 2020

There are going to be some fans and pundits who write off the 2020 college football season and day that the eventual champion should come with an asterisk beside their name. I am of the belief, though, that this is one of the toughest seasons that any team has had to deal with. The level of uncertainty before the season even began, as well as with each passing week has to be tough to manage. We have also had to see teams somehow try to find ways to win while some of the best players on their squad are sitting our due to COVID. The winner of the National Championship this season will be as deserving, and perhaps maybe more so, as any other year. We still have more than a month to wait and see who that will be, but for now, let’s focus on our Week 14 ATS picks so you can place your bets and cash in against our NCAAF odds.

NCAAF ATS Picks for Week 14 | College Football Betting

West Virginia Mountaineers at Iowa State Cyclones (-7)

The battle for a spot in the Big 12 Conference Championship Game rages on, but at this stage of the season, you have to say that the Iowa State Cyclones look like a very good bet to be in it. They have come good at just the right time, winning 4 in a row, which included a critical 23-20 win over Texas last weekend. They are now 7-1 in conference play and will go against the Mountaineers, who are 4-3 SU in the Big 12 this weekend. In terms of the point spread, both teams have been decent bets of late, with West Virginia going 6-2-1 ATS in their last 9, while the Cyclones are 5-2 ATS in their last 7. One trend that really jumps out, though, is that the Mountaineers have failed to cover in their last 7 games played in the month of December. That swings things in favor of Iowa State.

Boston College Eagles (+6) at Virginia Cavaliers

It’s always fun to try and track down a potential longshot winner when going through the schedule, especially if you are looking to beef up your potential parlay winnings. I think that we might very well have one here, as I think that the Boston College Eagles might just win this one straight up, as well as covering the spread as an underdog. They have won 2 of their last 3 games and have been a solid bet in games versus teams for their conference, going 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games ag ainst teams from the ACC. The Cavaliers have won 3 in a row, but they will not have played since November 21, so who knows how they are going to look coming into this game. I think this one stays close and the Eagles cover.

Oregon State Beavers at Utah Utes (-9 ½)

It has been a difficult start to the 2020 season for the Utah Utes, as they have managed to play just 2 games to this point, going 0-2 in the process. They started both of those games as an underdog, and while they failed to cover in their opener, they did manage to cover the spread in a tight loss to Washington over the weekend. That little nugget is actually worth noting, as this is a team that is 7-1 ATS in the last 8 games that they have played since covering in the previous week. I will admit that this is a bit of an iffy pick, as the Beavers have a lot of positive trends ATS, but I am sticking with the Utes.
