NCAAF 2020 Season Week 14 O/U Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on December 1, 2020

As the calendar flips over into the month of December, it’s time to take a serious look at the current standings in college football and wonder of the top 4 as it is now will be the same once all is said and done. There are a few teams sitting outside who will feel that they belong, but who will almost certainly miss out. This will certainly prove to be one of the more controversial decisions that the College Football Playoff Committee will have made to this point, as there are always going to be questions about who deserves to be in and who doesn’t after one of the strangest seasons we have ever seen. We will still need to wait a few weeks before we get to see the eventual final four, so for now, let’s focus on our O/U picks for Week 14 so you can bet against their NCAAF odds.

O/U Picks for Week 14 | 2020 College Football Betting

Memphis Tigers at Tulane Green Wave (OVER 63)

Over the years, this has been a matchup that Memphis has dominated, winning 9 of the last 10 meetings, winning by an average of around 18 PPG. There is a definite chance that their domination could come to an end this weekend, though, as these two teams now look to be very evenly matched. Best of all, though, both teams are playing an exciting brand of offensive football, with each of them averaging over 35 PPG this season. If Memphis are to continue their superiority over Tulane, they are going to need to put some points on the board to do it. Memphis has seen 5 of their last 7 road games go OVER, while the OVER has hit for Tulane on 6 of their last 9 overall. I think we get a shootout and the OVER here.

Syracuse Orange at Notre Dame Fighting Irish (OVER 51 ½)

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are currently sitting at #2 in the national rankings and look like a lock to be in the playoffs this season. That said, they cannot afford to slip up at all, as a loss at this stage of their season could mean the difference between getting in and sitting out the playoffs. It would be an upset for the ages if 1-9 Syracuse could pull the upset on the road this weekend, and it really does seem as though this one is all about just how much Notre Dame will run up the score. That is where the point total comes in, as we should probably not expect a whole lot of offense from Syracuse. The Irish have scored at least 42 points in 5 of their 9 games this season, so I would expect them to easily surpass that total against the Orange, which should get us to the OVER.

Vanderbilt Commodores at Georgia Bulldogs (OVER 52 ½)

It came a little too late in the season to make a difference, but the Georgia Bulldogs have finally found their QB. JT Daniels, who transferred in from USC in the offseason, has started the last two weeks and has transformed this Bulldogs offense into a juggernaut. That is not good news for a Vanderbilt team that is struggling to find healthy bodies to start at multiple different positions. Georgia has won 8 of their last 10 against the Commodores and have averaged 36 PPG in those meetings. You have to think that they will easily surpass that number this weekend on their way to a comfortable win and the OVER.
