Why Arkansas is a good bet?

Arkansas scored 55 points against Eastern Illinois in a great 55-20 victory on Sep. 1. The Razorbacks then had a let down against Colorado State. As a -14 road favorite, Arkansas lost 27-34 straight up to the Rams. It’s still difficult to understand how Arkansas lost that game. They held Colorado State to only 1.7 yards per carry, and 40 total rushing yards while the Razorbacks rushed for 299 yards off 5.6 yards per carry. Arkansas probably should have beaten Colorado State by 3 touchdowns. From that perspective, the Razorbacks have a shot to keep it close versus a superior Auburn team.

Arkansas at Auburn Final Analysis:

Sounds bad, but Arkansas’ best shot to cover the spread on the road against Auburn is if the Tigers suffer an LSU hangover. LSU is Auburn’s second biggest rival in the SEC. Only Alabama presents a bigger rival to Auburn than LSU. Arkansas must get their rushing attack going to have any shot versus the talented Auburn defense. Unless the Razorbacks figured out something during their bye week, it’s hard to see Auburn not stopping the Razorbacks’ rush. Again, Auburn handled one of the top offensive lines in the nation from pushing them around in their Week 1 game against Washington. Arkansas isn’t Washington. Auburn covers the spread on Sep. 22.
