With the addition of USC and Oregon, the Big Ten landscape has shifted dramatically.
While UCLA and Washington may not be immediate contenders, the conference now boasts a powerhouse West division.
UCLA and Washington don’t project to compete this season, but USC and Oregon might be good enough to beat Big 10 powers Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State.
USC at Michigan

We’re going to find out early, Lincoln Riley has turned around the Trojans horrid defense from 2023.
If he hasn’t Michigan, even without J.J.
McCarthy at quarterback, will score at will.
If Riley has, the Trojans could pull off the moneyline upset because quarterback Miller Moss is the real deal.
This is one of the biggest early games on the entire college football schedule.
Ohio State at Oregon
A loss by either on October 12 won’t hurt their chances.
More importantly to us, this should present an excellent betting opportunity.
Since the game take place in Autzen, Ohio State won’t be a massive favorite.
The betting line could be even money, considering both teams have strong quarterbacks in Will Howard at Ohio State and Dillon Gabriel at Oregon.
Penn State at USC
Penn State’s roster stacks up well versus USC’s.

James Franklin’s Lions should be much better offensively because Drew Allar has played a season running the offense.
The team that wins this October matchup will be on the road to securing a CFP spot.
Oregon at Michigan
How much has Michigan fallen behind their Big 10 rivals? That’s the big question for Sherrone Moore and the Wolverines heading into the season.
By November 2, we should have an idea of how talented each of these teams is.
Oregon travels to Ann Arbor, though.
So betting wise, the Ducks may not have to cover as huge of a spread as they would if the game were in Autzen.
Michigan could secure brownie points with the Selection Committee if they beat Dan Lanning’s squad.
Ohio State at Penn State
It might be because Franklin’s team returns starters on both sides of the ball.
But Ohio State looks like a juggernaut.
By November 2, Ohio State will have already sealed their College Football Playoff spot.
Penn State could be fighting for a chance at the title.
This game will be huge, and it happens in Happy Valley.
So we’re going to have to consider a moneyline play on the Nittany Lions if things play out the way we believe they might.
Michigan at Ohio State

In college football’s greatest rivalry, Michigan has owned Ohio State.
This season, no Jim Harbaugh and no JJ McCarthy means that the Buckeyes have a real shot of getting the victory.
But Michigan might be playing for a College Football Playoff spot.
So the Wolverines will be extra motivated.
Michigan versus Ohio State, like it is in most seasons, will be one of the meaningful matchups on the entire college football schedule.
