The Oklahoma Sooners were the team to beat out of the Big 12 a season ago. The Sooners made the college football playoff, but could not reach the national title game. Of course, the Sooners, along with the rest of the Big 12 are hungry to get back to the Final Four, and a couple games further. Let’s take a look at the Big 12 Conference College Football betting odds analysis.

A Closer Look at the BIG 12 Conference Season College Football Odds Analysis

Oklahoma Sooners +200

The Oklahoma Sooners were actually a year ahead in their push to win a national title. They were 8-5 the previous season. With new assistants to work for Bob Stoopes things went well for the Sooners. Baker Mayfield is back as the quarterback for the Sooners, and should be one of the contenders for the Heisman. Running back Samaje Perine is also back, which should make the Sooners offense very tough to defend. The Sooners are a great bet to win the Big 12 title, and at 14/1 would also be a fun and profitable bet to win the national title as well.

Baylor Bears +275

Wow – talk about good timing for this. Art Briles was fired from Baylor University, and the football program is in a complete mess. This is Penn State type stuff for the Bears. Despite the team and the athleticism that sits at Baylor, there is no way this team can fight through all of that and win this, can’t they? Shook Linwood is going to be a beast out of the backfield. There is no doubt that the Bears will be able to score. Can they defend well enough is the question? No way we can take them at +275 to win the Big 12 or 20/1 to win the national title.

Oklahoma State +475

The Cowboys won their first 10 games of the season last year. Can they put everything together for Mike Gundy and be there when it counts this season? Mason Rudolph is the top choice at quarterback with J.W. Walsh gone. Rudolph threw for more than 3,770 yards a season ago and 21 touchdowns. James Washington will be one of the toughest receivers in the conference to defend. The Oklahoma State Cowboys at +475 are not a bad option to win the Big 12. Oklahoma State also comes into the season with a national title picture of 60/1.

TCU Horned Frogs +475

Can Gary Patterson put together another team that will compete at the top of one of the best conferences in all of college football? The Horned Frogs will have big shoes to fill trying to replace Trevone Boykin. The Horned Frogs will likely turn to Kenny Hill, who transferred from Texas A+M. Offensively, the Horned Frogs are talented at the running back and receiver position, which should put them in a good spot to possibly lead the conference in scoring. While not a great bet, if you want to gamble, taking the Horned Frogs +475 may produce some money. Betting them at +35/1 to win the national title is probably a good waste of money. There you go. That’s a look at the Big 12 Conference College Football Odds Analysis. Enjoy the season!
