We should also pay attention to prop wagers like regular season win totals. Keep reading for 5 regular season win totals that we should consider for profit and 5 we should avoid.

Five 2019 College Football Win Totals to Bet On and to Avoid

5 Win Totals for Profit

Alabama Crimson Tide

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds: 11

Believers will look to the fact that Alabama has only 4 road games: South Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Auburn. They take on LSU at home. They will also look to the fact that Bama doesn’t play Georgia or Florida this season.

Non-believers will look to the high total. Alabama must go undefeated for the over to score. Either way, 11 is a great total for both believers and non-believers.

Clemson Tigers

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds: 11 ½

What’s true for Alabama this season is true for Clemson. Clemson’s 5 road games are against: Syracuse, North Carolina, Louisville, North Carolina State, and South Carolina. The Tigers toughest game, during the entire regular season, is at Syracuse on Sep. 14. That’s why Clemson’s total has gone from 11 to 11 ½.

Non-believers can be satisfied that Clemson must go undefeated for the over to hit. Those who believe in the defending champions can be satisfied knowing that if the Tigers get past Syracuse on Sep. 14, they have no business not going undefeated.

Michigan Wolverines

The Wolverines have a real shot of either going undefeated, or losing only a single game this season. Michigan battles Ohio State in Ann Arbor this year. They should finally beat the Buckeyes. They take on Notre Dame at home and Michigan State at home.

The road games are close to pathetic. Wisconsin could be tough, but the Badgers must rebuild their offensive line. Other than Wisconsin, Michigan battles Illinois, Penn State, Maryland, and Indiana on the road.

Nebraska Cornhuskers

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds: Over 8 ½

Nebraska most definitely should win 9 games. The 3 losses on the 12 game schedule should be against Ohio State and, maybe, versus Wisconsin and Iowa. There’s a good chance Nebraska only loses to Ohio State because they’ve got a real Heisman Trophy Candidate in quarterback Adrian Martinez.

Oklahoma Sooners

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds: Over 10 ½

Like always, Oklahoma’s toughest game will be the Red River Rivalry against Texas. This season that game takes place on Oct. 12. Lincoln Riley hired Alex Grinch to run the defense. If the defense is even slightly better this season than it was last season, the Sooners should go undefeated.

5 Win Totals to Avoid

Oregon Ducks

How good are the Oregon Ducks? On paper, they look like the class of the Pac 12. The schedule is no cakewalk, though. The Ducks battle Auburn on a neutral field. Then, they must take on USC, Stanford, Washington, and ASU on the road. Nevada is no slouch. Washington State and Cal should be decent.

Tough to go over or under here.

Penn State Nittany Lions

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds:

Penn State is a quality football program. This could be a rebuilding season for the Nittany Lions, though. Penn State will win 9 games if they only lose to Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State. However, they must travel to Iowa on Oct. 12. They also take on Pittsburgh at home on Sep. 14.

That doesn’t mean Penn State goes over or under 8 ½. It just means this is a tough total to figure out.

Texas Longhorns

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds:

The Longhorns schedule is brutal: LSU, at West Virginia, Oklahoma on a neutral field, at TCU, at Iowa State. Those are all potential losses. Texas could surprise and win all 5 of those games. Either way, this is a tough total to deal with whether you’re a believer or non-believer.

Georgia Bulldogs

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds: 11

Some believe Georgia is in the Clemson/Alabama category. The schedule says differently. While Clemson and Alabama have one game on their schedules possibly preventing an undefeated season, Georgia has three potential games that believers and non-believers must deal with: Notre Dame, at Florida, and at Auburn. That makes this total one to avoid.

Wisconsin Badgers

  • 2019 College Football Win Total Odds:

Here’s another tough total for believers and non-believers. The Badgers have three games they should most definitely lose: Michigan, at Ohio State, and Michigan State. But the Badgers must rebuild their offensive line, which means there’s a chance they lose a game or two to either Purdue, at South Florida, Northwestern, at Nebraska, and Iowa.

Whether you believe in the Badgers or not, avoid this regular season win total.
