Florida At Arkansas College Football Winning Predictions
Look at the SEC standings right now and you will see that it is the Alabama Crimson Tide who are once again dominating the proceedings. Barring a major collapse, it looks as though the reigning National Champions will be representing the West in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta later this season. Things are a little foggier in the East, but a total collapse by the Tennessee Volunteers has allowed the Florida Gators to control their own destiny.
This division is now theirs to lose, but they have a tough game ahead of them this weekend when they must head to Arkansas to face the Razorbacks. Florida are a 5.5-point favorite heading out on the road, and they are facing a Razorbacks team that is still licking its wounds after taking a pounding last weekend. The Gators are coming off a big win over their rivals, the Georgia Bulldogs, and must maintain that high if they are to go on the road and get one step closer to their conference championship game. Why bet on the Florida Gators
Let’s get things straight here, if the Gators are going to win the division and head to Atlanta for the Conference Championship Game, they are going to do so because of the play of their defense. Their secondary is perhaps the best in college football, and they held Nick Chubb and Sony Michel to just 21 total yards on the ground in the win against the Bulldogs last week. All of this makes you wonder how Arkansas are going to be able to move the ball on them, because the Razorbacks, particularly in the last 3 weeks, have had a difficult time gaining yards in any way. The Florida Gators have had a pair of road games this season, and are 0-2 ATS in those match-ups.
Why bet on the Arkansas Razorbacks
How are Arkansas going to be able to bounce back after going down 56-3 against Auburn last week? The good news here is that the Razorbacks have managed to win in each of the two games following a loss this season, but they did so against teams that were not quite as talented as the Florida Gators. History would certainly seem to be against them here, as they have lost all 3 games that they have played against Florida dating back to 1992. Arkansas are going to have to find a way to move the ball against a stubborn Gators defense, and if they can do that, they can keep this thing close all the way to the end.
Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction
Given that the Gators can still stand to lose a game or two and win the East, there is the possibility that they may relax a little this weekend. I just don’t see that happening, though, and I think they go on the road and get a win, albeit in a close one.
