We are 5 weeks into the college football season and it is once again becoming clear that the SEC is the class conference in football. We have a pair of SEC teams sitting in the top 4 right now and another one sitting just outside, not to mention a few more sprinkled throughout the top 25. The conference match-ups are coming thick and fast, though, which is where things can really start to change.
This is a cutthroat conference where any team can win against a conference foe on any given day. While the Georgia Bulldogs once again look to be the elite team in the SEC East, the Kentucky Wildcats look as though they are ready to mount a serious challenge for the division crown. They will have a tough one this weekend, though, as they go against the Texas A&M Aggies of the SEC West. College Station is never an easy place to go and get a win, and you feel that the Wildcats need this one if they are to oust Georgia, The Aggies are in as a 5 ½ point favorite, with the point total set at 50 ½.

Why bet on the Kentucky Wildcats?
The Wildcats had themselves a bit of a breakthrough season in 2017, but they look to be even better this year. They come into this week at 5-0 on the season, with a huge monkey already lifted off their back, that being a win over the Florida Gators for the first time in over 30 years. They have taken out two other conference foes to sit at 3-0 in SEC play, tied with Georgia atop the East.
This has certainly been a team effort, but when you look at how the Wildcats are getting the job done, you need to look at Benny Snell and the running game. They are averaging over 250 YPG on the ground versus just 150 YPG through the air. The key to beating them is to stop the run, yet no-one has been able to do that yet. Kentucky is in as the road dog here, but they have been a solid bet, going 8-3 ATS away from home in their last 11 games.

Why bet on the Texas A&M Aggies?
The Texas A&M Aggies 3-2 record does not look particularly great until you realize that their two losses this season have come against Clemson and Alabama, both of whom are in the top 4. The Aggies were, in fact, a little unlucky to lose to Clemson, very nearly pulling off the upset in front of their home fans.
Despite having some down years of late, the Aggies have still managed to go 14-7 SU in their last 21 home games and look like a better, more confident bunch under new head coach Jimbo Fisher. This is a bit of a rebuilding year for the Aggies, but they can really help their cause by getting a win over #13 ranked Kentucky this weekend.

Expert Pick & Final Score Prediction for Kentucky vs Texas A&M
At first look, this would appear to be Kentucky’s game for the taking, but the reality is that the Aggies big strength is in stopping the run, as they are giving up just 80 YPG on the ground. I have the Aggies winning, the Wildcats covering, and the total going OVER.
