Why Michigan State Spartans are a good bet +2.5?

The Spartans didn’t have as much success as they usually do this season. Michigan State often battles Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State for the top spot in the deep East Division. The Spartans lost to Michigan and Ohio State.

But, they did beat the Nittany Lions, and they beat them on the road. Michigan State has one of the top defenses in the nation, it only allows 18 points per. Unless Oregon comes up with a strategy to break down the Spartans’ defense, MSU should make this desperately close on Dec. 31.

Why Oregon Ducks are a good bet -2.5?

Oregon turned out to be one of the most dangerous teams in the Pac 12. The Ducks started out the season great, winning their first 3 games. They ran into Stanford in their fourth, but even a loss to the Cardinal in overtime couldn’t keep Oregon from an 8-4 record.

What’s impressive is how the Ducks finished the season with two straight wins: 31-29 over ASU and 55-15 over Oregon State in the Civil War. Quarterback Justin Herbert is one of the best in the nation. The Ducks have what it takes to win and cover over the Spartans in the 2018 Redbox Bowl.

Michigan State vs Oregon Final 2018 Redbox Bowl Analysis

This is one of those classic bowl matchups between a team that relies on its defense and one that must outscore its opponents in a track meet.

Michigan State shut down some high-scoring teams this season. They held Ohio State to 26 points, Purdue to 13, Michigan to 21, and Penn State to 17. The Spartans are one of the few teams that forces opponents to play their style.

MSU ranks first in rushing yards allowed. Oregon runs a balanced attack where Herbert feeds off the run game. If the Ducks can’t get anything going on the ground, they won’t get anything going through the air. Michigan State’s the play.
