Alabama

The No. 1 team in the land is a lock to reach the CFB Playoff. Right now, I’m not sure anyone can beat the Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0), as much as it kills me to say it.

Ohio State

The now, sixth-ranked Buckeyes still have their title hopes alive, but they were exposed the last two weeks in sneaking past Wisconsin and falling to Penn State.

Clemson

The Tigers (7-0) were my pick to reach the championship game – and I still believe they will, thanks mostly to Deshaun Watson.

Michigan

I don’t know which team I hate more, top-ranked Alabama or now, No. 2 Michigan (7-0). Still, there’s no denying that Jim Harbaugh is one helluva’ coach and the fact that his Wolverines are legitimate.

Washington

No. 4 Washington has one of the best coaches in all of college football in Chris Petersen and they certainly didn’t just come from ‘out of nowhere’ people. If you didn’t know it before, now you do, Washington’s has an explosive offense and stingy defense that makes them completely legit!

Louisville

Forget Hillary and Donald everyone. I say Lamar Jackson is the best player in all the land right now – and No. 5 Louisville still has a legitimate shot with one loss – a heartbreaking defeat against Clemson – on their record.

Texas A&M

If the ninth-ranked Aggies can finish with its only loss coming against Alabama, then they should have a shot to reach the four-team playoff – even if they did get smacked around by the Crimson Tide pretty handily.

Nebraska

The Cornhuskers aren’t getting a whole lot of love from the voters, but they should at least get some consideration if they run the table.

Baylor

I could simply transpose the previous sentence about Nebraska and put it here. The No. 8 Bears are dangerous even if they’re not getting a bunch of national love!

West Virginia

Call me crazy, but the 10th-ranked Mountaineers could upset the entire apple cart with a stupendous defense and underrated quarterback in Skyler Howard!

Boise State

Damn, the Broncos must feel a lot like the late Rodney Dangerfield because they’re not getting any respect for their unblemished 7-0 record right now. Still, I say Boise State deserves a shot if they finish unbeaten, although I don’t think the CFB voters will take them seriously – for the umpteenth time!
