Posted by Eric Williams on August 12, 2016 in

With Washington looking to take the next step toward becoming a legitimate national championship contender under widely respected head coach Chris Petersen, you need to know just how the Huskies are going to make out once the 2016 regular season gets underway.

Thankfully, this expert online betting breakdown on all of Washington’s regular season matchups is just what the doctor ordered.

Washington Huskies Football Schedule 2016 Winning Predictions

Saturday, Sep. 3

Rutgers Scarlet Knights

Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA
11:00am PT

Analysis: Rutgers went 4-8 in 2015 and simply doesn’t have enough talent in order to keep up with a Washington Huskies team that is well on its way to blossoming into a legitimate title contender before our very eyes.

My Pick: Washington 42 Rutgers 24

Saturday Sep. 10

Idaho Vandals

Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA
2:00pm PT

Analysis: I could simply copy and paste the above paragraph about Rutgers and drop it in here for Washington’s second game, but I won’t. Let’s just say the 4-8 Idaho Vandals are going down hard in Week 2!

My Pick: Washington 45 Idaho 17

Saturday, Sep. 17

Portland State Vikings

Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA
5:00pm PT

Analysis: Portland State…Really? Petersen and the Huskies should be ashamed of scheduling three patsies in a row to kick off their 2016 campaign, but whatever! Washington wins big, but maybe not big enough to cover the spread in Week 3.

My Pick: Washington 56 Portland State 14

Friday, Sep. 24

Arizona Wildcats

Arizona Stadium, Tucson, AZ

Analysis: The Huskies will have the more explosive offense in this Pac-12 pairing, but I’m going with Arizona to get the narrow home win out of ‘mid-season’ desperation, if nothing else.

My Pick: Arizona 31 Washington 30

Saturday, Sep. 30

Stanford Cardinal

Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA6:00pm PT

Analysis: The Huskies may be playing a home, but I don’t like them to beat a Stanford team that I believe has legitimate four-team playoff potential heading into 2016.

My Pick: Stanford 42 Washington 31

Saturday, Oct. 8

Oregon Ducks

Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR

Analysis: The Huskies lose an absolute heartbreaker on the road against an Oregon team I expect to score the ball very well in 2016.

My Pick: Oregon 42 Washington 38

Oct. 15—OFF——Saturday

Saturday, Oct. 22

Oregon State Beavers (HC)

Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA

Analysis: Washington will lay a huge smackdown on an underachieving Oregon State team that went 2-10 last season.

My Pick: Washington 45 Oregon State 21

Saturday, Oct. 29

Utah Utes

Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City, UT

Analysis: No matter how hard I try, I just can’t see Washington beating a Utah team on the road that won a stellar 10 games a year ago.

My Pick: Utah 28 Washington 27

Saturday, Nov. 5

California Golden Bears

California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, CA

Analysis: No Jared Goff means the Golden Bears will be fighting an uphill battle in 2016. Washington gets the outright road win!

My Pick: Washington 31 Cal 24

Saturday, Nov. 12

USC Trojans

 Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA

Analysis: The Huskies may be playing at home in this Pac-12 showdown, but I’m going with USC to get the outright road win over Washington, mostly because they have as much talent as any team in the country, including Alabama.

My Pick: USC 35 Washington 31

Friday, Nov. 19

Arizona State Sun Devils

Husky Stadium, Seattle, WA

Analysis: The Huskies are the pick to take out an Arizona State team that underachieved in going 6-7 in 2015.

My Pick: Washington 24 Arizona State 14

Friday, Nov. 25

Washington State Cougars

Martin Stadium, Pullman, WA
12:30pm PT

Analysis: The Huskies will, no doubt, go all out to get the season-ending win against their in-state and conference rivals, but I’m going to back a Washington State team has surprised en roué to an impressive nine wins a year ago.

My Pick: Washington State 30 Washington 28
