Week 11 College Football Lock Picks

#20 West Virginia at Texas

When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 pm ET Where: Royal Texas Memorial Stadium, Austin, TX TV: TBD NCAA Football Odds: Texas -2.5 Analysis: In about a day, the Texas Longhorns have gone from being -1.5 favorites to being -2.5 favorites. That’s not an incredibly long time for the Longhorns to move a half a point. No worries. My lock in this game is West Virginia, anyhow. As far as I’m concerned, I hope that everybody bets on Texas. To me, Texas hasn’t played any better in their last few games than they did to start the season. Don’t get me wrong. Wins against Baylor and Texas Tech are okay. But beating West Virginia is a whole other thing. The Longhorns are going to have to be better than exceptional to beat the Mountaineers straight up, much less cover a north rising point spread. Texas’ defense still gives up 465 yards per game. It allows over 33 points per game on average. Both of those averages should lead to a nice Mountaineer win in this battle. #12 Penn State at Indiana

When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 pm ET Where: Memorial Stadium, Bloomington, IN TV: ABC/ESPN 2 NCAA Football Odds: Penn State -6.5 Analysis: Bet this game early, fellow football handicappers. Penn State has proven to be one of the best teams in the Big Ten. The light bulb certainly went off for the Nittany Lions after their win over Ohio State a few weeks ago. The Nittany Lions roll into Bloomington having won 5 straight. They’ve gone 4-0- 1 against the spread in their last 5 games. Indiana isn’t a terrible team. The Hoosiers are riding a 2 game win streak. But Penn State is en fuego making this one of the better games for football handicappers. It’s hard to see Indiana having a lot of success against Penn State’s defense. The Nittany Lion’s offense scored 62 against Purdue and 41 against Iowa in their last 2 games. I think Penn State pummels Indiana on Saturday. Week 11 College Football Lock Pick: Penn State

Tulsa at Navy

When: Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 pm ET Where: Navy-Marine Corp Memorial Stadium, Annapolis, MD TV: CBSSN NCAA Football Odds: Navy +2.5 Analysis: Tulsa must be an impressive team to be favored over Navy in Annapolis. Tulsa does have a 7 and 2 record. Their offense is exceptional. It goes for 512 yards and 42 points per game. Still, I like Navy in this matchup. The Midshipmen have won 3 out of their last 4 games. They beat Houston 46 to 40, Memphis 42 to 28 and Notre Dame 28 to 27. Navy was a 7.5 road dog versus the Irish. My gut tells me that Navy’s excellent rushing attack and slightly better defense takes Tulsa in this matchup. I’m going with Navy ATS. Week 11 College Football Lock Pick: Navy
