College Football Week 7 Odds & SU Picks

Written by on October 9, 2017

With 6 weeks gone, we are now essentially halfway through the 2017 college football season, and what we are seeing thus far is more of the same. It is the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers, the teams who have met in the last two National Championship Games, who are #1 and #2 in the rankings. Both teams are looking close to unbeatable, although Alabama was given a bit of a scare over the weekend versus Texas A&M, while Clemson struggled to put away Wake Forest. Everyone else in the NCAAF is trying to keep pace with these two, and based on College Football Week 7 Odds we are going to enjoy some pretty interesting matchups. Those are the ones we will focus on for our SU picks. Don’t forget to check the NCAAF Betting Lines before putting your final bet, because some changes may appear during the week.

College Football Week 7 Odds & SU Picks

2018 NCAA Football Championship Odds to Win

Washington State Cougars over California Golden Bears

College Football Week 7 Odds: Washington State -13 The Washington State Cougars are now ranked #8 in the country and are sitting at 6-0 on the season. Their last two weeks have been particularly impressive, taking out the USC Trojans and the Oregon Ducks, and making it look quite easy in the process. They will head to California on Friday night to take on the Golden Bears in a game that has the potential to be an affair. The Cougars have only won 2 of their last 12 meetings versus California, although they won handily last season. I like the Cougars to keep the good times rolling this weekend.

Latest NCAAF Betting Trends

  • Washington State is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
  • Washington State is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games on the road
  • California is 11-4 SU in its last 15 games at home
  • California is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games when playing at home against Washington State
  • Washington State is 2-10 SU in its last 12 games when playing California

Michigan Wolverines over Indiana Hoosiers

College Football Week 7 Odds: Michigan -5.5 Given that Michigan has not lost to Indiana since 1987, you might think that this one would be a slam dunk, but there were probably plenty of you who thought that the Wolverines would easily get past the Michigan State Spartans over the weekend. They lost that one and may well be a fragile bunch heading to Indiana to face a Hoosiers team that has played them tight in the last two meetings. I do think that Michigan will bounce back this weekend, but I also believe it will be a closely fought affair.

Latest NCAAF Betting Trends

  • Michigan is 4-1 SU in its last 5 games
  • Michigan is 9-3 SU in its last 12 games on the road
  • Indiana is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games at home
  • Indiana is 0-5 SU in its last 5 games when playing at home against Michigan
  • Michigan is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games when playing Indiana

West Virginia Mountaineers over Texas Tech Red Raiders

College Football Week 7 Odds: West Virginia -3 When you have a ranked team going against one that is unranked, you generally expect the ranked team to be the favorite. That is not the case in this one, though, as the unranked Mountaineers are favored by 3 points this coming Saturday. West Virginia is coming off a tough loss to a very good TCU team and will be looking to make amends at home this weekend. Texas Tech has a high-scoring offense, which they are going to need against Will Grier and the explosive Mountaineers. I believe that it will be West Virginia who wins a close one. According to the College Football Week 7 Odds, West Virginia is the favorite against Texas Tech.

Latest NCAAF Betting Trends

  • Texas Tech is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games
  • West Virginia is 18-6 SU in its last 24 games
  • West Virginia is 12-1 SU in its last 13 games at home

Miami Hurricanes over Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

College Football Week 7 Odds: TBA There is a feeling that a team is perhaps at its most vulnerable in games that come after a huge win. For the Miami Hurricanes, wins don’t come much bigger than their Week 6 victory over the Florida State Seminoles, a rival that has had their number for years. There is always that possibility that the team could suffer a letdown in the week following such a big win, but I believe that Miami is going to use it as a springboard to bigger and better things. That is why I like them to handle Georgia Tech at home.

Latest NCAAF Betting Trends

  • Georgia Tech is 7-1 SU in its last 8 games
  • Georgia Tech is 4-2 SU in its last 6 games on the road
  • Miami-FL is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games
  • Miami-FL is 5-0 SU in its last 5 games at home
  • Georgia Tech is 1-7 SU in its last 8 games when playing Miami-FL

Auburn Tigers over LSU Tigers

College Football Week 7 Odds: Auburn -6.5 This may well be the game of the week in college football, as the #10 ranked Auburn Tigers look to continue putting pressure on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC West. Auburn has bounced back brilliantly after losing to Clemson in Week 2 but will have a tough test on the road to an LSU team that is coming off a big win away to the Florida Gators. I think we are in for a defensive battle here, and I like Auburn to come out on top in this one.

Latest NCAAF Betting Trends

  • Auburn is 5-1 SU in its last 6 games
  • Auburn is 1-4 SU in its last 5 games on the road
  • Louisiana State is 6-2 SU in its last 8 games
  • Louisiana State is 13-4 SU in its last 17 games at home
  • Auburn is 0-5 SU in its last 5 games when playing on the road against Louisiana State
