2016 NFL Week 5 Best Games And Winning Favorites

Written by on October 4, 2016

It’s hard to believe that we are already a month into the 2016 NFL football season. The good things about this little passage of time is that we are now more able to identify the good teams from the bad, which makes it easier to decide which games to watch over the weekend. The Week 5 schedule has delivered some potentially awesome match-ups to pay attention to and wager on, so let’s take a little bit of a closer look at the games that have caught my eye for the upcoming weekend of NFL football action.

A Closer Look At The 2016 NFL Week 5 Best Games And Winning Favorites

Houston exans at Minnesota Vikings

Coming into the season, the Minnesota Vikings were widely regarded as one of the top teams in the league, but that was cast into doubt when QB Teddy Bridgewater went down with a season ending injury before the opening weekend. The Vikings have stayed relevant by playing some spectacular defense, whilst also getting solid contributions from their QB’s. It’s going to be a tough test this weekend when the 3-1 Houston Texans head into Minnesota intent on handing the Vikings their first loss of the season.

Washington Redskins at Baltimore Ravens

After getting the season off to an awful 0-2 start, the Redskins have righted the ship and got back to .500. They will be going against a Ravens team that is surprisingly sitting at 3-1, and which is playing the sort of defense that is good enough to win championships. The downside for the Ravens is that the offense is not really living up to their end of the bargain. The defense is going to have to be at its very best to stop a Washington attack that can be very good when they are on their game.

Atlanta Falcons at Denver Broncos

The World Champion Denver Broncos are off to a 4-0 start, and they are once again getting the job done with defense. They have given up just 62 points through those opening 4 games, but they will have a tough test against the 3-1 Atlanta Falcons this weekend, as that is a team that is lighting it up in a big way on the offensive side of the ball. This game will give us an idea of whether or not the Falcons are for real, or if they are just flattering to deceive in the same way that they did to open the 2015 season.

Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys

Cowboys fans feared the worst when they lost QB Tony Romo for an extended period of the season, and then came out and lost in Week 1. What a difference a few weeks makes, though, as the Cowboys have now reeled off 3-straight wins, thanks in large part to the play of rookie Dak Prescott, who is now on pace to break all sorts of records. The Cowboys will host a Cincinnati Bengals team that has been a little up and down so far this season. They had a big win, and a massive performance from A.J. Green, in Week 4, though, and will be looking to get over .500 with a win here.
