With the arrival of Week 14 of the NFL season, we are down to just 4 weeks left to play. The Oakland Raiders became the first team to be officially eliminated over the weekend, but that number will grow with each passing week, as more and more teams see their playoff hopes crushed. There are still teams out there looking to play the role of spoiler, though, so there really is no easy game left for the teams in with a shot at a postseason spot. We have looked at the games on tap for this week and have made some O/U NFL Betting Picks. We will also have SU and ATS picks coming your way.

NFL Week 14 Over/Under Picks

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (OVER 49 ½)

With the Colts dropping a game to the Jacksonville Jaguars over the weekend and the Texans picking up their 9th straight win, it really is now looking as though Houston is a lock for the AFC South. A win for the Colts here could make things a little more interesting, but it’s still a case if mission impossible, you would think.

This is a meeting that has traditionally delivered some scoring, with 4 of the last 5 meetings between these two in Houston going the way of the OVER. I like Luck and company to get the offense back on track in a losing cause, helping take this one OVER.

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins (OVER 48)

The Patriots are once again emerging as a likely candidate for a bye in the AFC, as they just beat Minnesota to collect their 8th win in the last 9 games.

The Patriots have not been lighting up the scoreboard in the past few weeks, but they haven’t really had to given that they have been playing well on the defensive side of the football. While that might lead you to the under, it is worth noting that the Dolphins have seen 13 of their last 19 games at home go the way of the OVER. I think we are in for more of the same in this one.

Carolina Panthers at Cleveland Browns (OVER 47)

The Carolina Panthers are a team in dire need of a win after losing 4 straight games and seeing their playoff hopes put in serious jeopardy.

The Panthers are slight favorites against the Browns in NFL Week 14.

Traditionally, seeing the Cleveland Browns next up on the schedule would be a reason to believe that a win was upcoming, but this is a Browns team that has found some new life after firing head coach Hue Jackson. The Panthers have been giving up over 30 PPG during their losing skid, so look for the Browns to try and pick up chunk plays against a struggling D. I think we are looking at the OVER with this one.

Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals (OVER 41)

These two teams have both been struggling to get anything going on the offensive side of the football in recent weeks, which is perhaps why the point total bar has been set so low for this one.

The Lions have made a habit of going OVER the point total when playing on the road, with 4 of their last 5 games away from home going that route. Perhaps more importantly, though, 11 of the last 14 meetings between these two teams has gone the way of the OVER. Perhaps we should expect a little more of an offensive spark here.
