2018 NFL Week 16 Odds, Overview & Predictions for Each Game
Washington at Tennessee (-10), Saturday
Both clubs are alive for a wild-card spot and the division title in their respective divisions, but the loser is definitely done and even should the Redskins or Titans win out, they would need help for the playoffs. Expect plenty of Derrick Henry here as he has totaled 408 yards rushing the past two weeks, a franchise record for the Titans/Oilers. Back Tennessee but buy this down to -9.5.Baltimore at LA Chargers (-4.5), Saturday
It’s the Ravens’ first-ever game in Los Angeles and it’s big for both. Baltimore is battling for the AFC North title and a wild-card spot, while the Chargers have clinched at least a WC spot but could be the AFC’s No. 1 overall seed by winning out. Bolts hoping to have injured top RB Melvin Gordon back after missing past three games. Top WR Keenan Allen (hip) is in question. Take Baltimore.Cincinnati at Cleveland (-6.5)
Browns look for the first season sweep of their state rivals in a long time. Cleveland won 35-20 in Cincinnati in Week 12. Baker Mayfield had a career-high four TD passes. The win snapped Cleveland’s streak of 25 straight road losses that was one shy of the Lions’ NFL record. The Browns also ended a run of seven straight losses to their intrastate rival. Go Browns.Tampa Bay at Dallas (-7)
Bucs just playing out the string, while Cowboys can clinch NFC East with a win. The Bucs are 1-11 in their last 12 games in Dallas and 0-9 SU in their last nine games on the road vs teams with winning records. Dallas has lost at home just once this season and figures to play angry off a 23-0 loss at Indy. Go Dallas, but buy down to -6.5.Minnesota at Detroit (+5.5)
Vikes trying to lock down a wild-card spot, while the Lions are playing out the string. Detroit lost at Minnesota in Week 9, 24-9. Danielle Hunter had 3 1/2 of Minnesota’s franchise-record 10 sacks plus a fourth-quarter fumble return for a touchdown. The Lions had just 214 yards. Take Vikings.NY Giants at Indianapolis (-9)
Colts in the hunt for a wild-card spot and AFC South title but they have to win out and get some help. Will the Giants have Odell Beckham Jr. for this meaningless game for them? Giants coach Pat Shurmur is “hopeful” Odell Beckham (quad) will play this week after missing the past two. Shurmur announced Eli Manning will start Week 16 instead of getting a look at rookie Kyle Lauletta. Go Colts.Jacksonville at Miami (-4)
Been a lousy football season in Florida. Both these teams come off yet another loss and there figure to be major changes in both organizations. The Jaguars are 1-3 SU and ATS in their last four games vs the Dolphins so we like Miami.Buffalo at New England (-13)
Hard to believe the Pats haven’t clinched the AFC East yet – they will with a win here. New England goes for yet another season sweep of Buffalo, winning 25-6 there in Week 8. Devin McCourty returned an interception 84 yards for a touchdown to clinch it. Tom Brady continued his string of career-long dominance over the Bills by improving to 29-3, extending the NFL record for most wins by a quarterback against one opponent. Go New England.Green Bay at NY Jets (+1)
Will Aaron Rodgers play? Says he wants to play the final two even though the Packers have been eliminated from the playoffs. If Rodgers plays, he might be without two more key players: receiver Randall Cobb and running back Aaron Jones. Both left Sunday’s loss to Chicago with an injury. We think Rodgers sits. Take the Jets.Houston at Philadelphia (-1)
Philly played fantastic Sunday night in winning as nearly 14-point underdogs at the Rams to keep their playoff hopes alive.
