2019 NFL Week 14 Over/Under Betting Picks

Written by on December 2, 2019

As the calendar rolls over to December, we head into the final month of the NFL regular season, with a lot of stuff still to be decided. There are division titles still up for grabs, not to mention all the playoff spots in both conferences. Over the next 4 weeks, we are going to see which teams can hold their nerve and get the wins needed to play in the postseason. We are also going to see a great battle for seeding places, as there are a lot of teams in both conferences who can still land those coveted #1 and #2 seeds.

It’s a little too close to call right now, so let’s focus on the smaller picture by looking ahead to Week 14. For the purposes of this piece, we will have O/U NFL Betting picks up for grabs, but keep an eye out for our SU and ATS picks, too.

2019 NFL Week 14 Over/Under Betting Picks

Washington Redskins at Green Bay Packers (OVER 42 ½)

After a run of games where the offense was not at it’s best, the Packers bounced back by dropping 31 points on the Giants in Week 13 on the road. They will be back home this weekend to face another team that is struggling this season in the Washington Commanders.

That said, the Redskins are now winners of back to back games and are coming off their best offensive performance of the season, dropping 29 points on the Carolina Panthers. I think that with all of that in mind, these two can easily combine to go OVER the 42 ½ point total.

NFL Week 14 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 4 of Washington’s last 5 games on the road
  • The total has gone UNDER in 7 of Green Bay’s last 10 games against an opponent in the NFC conference

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns (OVER 42 ½)

The Cincinnati Bengals finally broke their goose egg with a win over the New York Jets in Week 13, but perhaps more importantly, they did it by putting in a solid offensive showing. The Bengals dropped 22 points on the Jets, and while that may not seem like much in the grand scheme of things, it’s a good deal better than the 14 PPG they had been averaging up to that point.

Both of these teams have been trending toward the under this season, but that performance by the Bengals may serve as inspiration. I’m taking a chance and going OVER here.

NFL Week 14 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Cincinnati’s last 5 games on the road
  • The total has gone UNDER in 15 of Cleveland’s last 20 games played in December

LA Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars (UNDER 43)

We might well be looking at the final few games where Phillip Rivers is the starting QB for the LA Chargers, as he has not looked good at all this season. Whether he moves on or retires remains to be seen, but he looks like a guy who is phoning it in this season.

No. 15 is going to start for the Jags in NFL Week 14.

While not at the end of his time, Nick Foles has also had his struggles in his first season with the Jacksonville Jaguars. We have two struggling offenses going head to head in a game that looks to be a rather straightforward UNDER pick.

NFL Week 14 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 8 of LA Chargers’ last 11 games
  • The total has gone UNDER in 8 of Jacksonville’s last 10 games at home

Pittsburgh Steelers at Arizona Cardinals (UNDER 43 ½)

There is already a lot of talk about Mile Tomlin of the Steelers being in as the coach of the year in the NFL. After all, this Steelers team has been crippled by injuries to their skill players and are now rolling the dice with a 3rd string QB. Despite all of that, they are still sitting as the #6 seed in the AFC.

It is the defense that needs to get a ton of the credit here, as they have been outstanding. Look for them to wreak havoc on a rookie QB this weekend, which should help keep this one UNDER the point total.

Week 14 Betting Trends

  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Pittsburgh’s last 5 games on the road
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Arizona’s last 5 games when playing at home against Pittsburgh
