2020 NFL Betting Analysis - Week 2 O/U Picks

2020 NFL Betting Analysis – Week 2 O/U Picks

Given that there were no preseason games in which to shake off the rust and iron out the kinks, the belief among many NFL fans was that we would be served some sloppy football this weekend. That did not prove to be the case, though, as the quality of play was high. That’s very good news indeed, as it means that we are likely to see things get even better as the season progresses. For the teams that lost in Week 1, this week is all about not falling into an 0-2 hole. History has shown that climbing out of that and making the playoffs is tough, although with an extra playoff spot in each conference this year, it might not be as damaging as before. We are looking at the Week 2 games from every angle and have come up with some O/U picks for the weekend that you can wager on and place your bets against their NFL odds. We will also have SU and ATS picks coming your way, so be sure to watch out for those.

2020 NFL Odds for Week 2 Over/Under Total Picks to Bet On

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys (OVER 52 ½)

Both of these teams are looking to avoid the dreaded 0-2 hole after losing in the opening weekend. The Falcons, and Matt Ryan in particular, put up a ton of offense in Week 1, but still ended up losing 38-25 to the Seattle Seahawks. They have now seen 5 of their last 6 games versus teams from the NFC go OVER the point total. The Dallas Cowboys looked solid offensively at the start of their game against the LA Rams, but it did not last, as they ended up falling 20-17 to the Rams. That was odd for a team that has seen 13 of their last 20 games go OVER. The OVER has hit in 6 of the last 7 meetings between these teams in Dallas, so it seems like a good bet here.

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OVER 48 ½)

Counting the games played last season, the Carolina Panthers are now on a 9-game losing skid. They dropped 30 points on the Las Vegas Raiders at home and still managed to come out on the losing end of things. With that result, they have now seen 6 of their last 7 games go the way of the OVER. They have also seen the OVER hit in each of their last 5 games versus a conference foe. A lot of people are overreacting after seeing Tom Brady and the Bucs struggle in a Week 1 loss to the Saints, but I still think this team will come good. They have seen the OVER hit in 10 of their last 13 games, while also seeing the same in each of their last 10 conference games.

Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans (OVER 51 ½)

The Baltimore Ravens ended last regular season with the best record in football, but they ended the year on a sour note after getting bounced in the opening round of the playoffs. They came out in Week 1 and looked just like the team from last regular season, dominating the Cleveland Browns from start to finish. They will face a Texans team that is sure to still be reeling after getting thumped by the Kansas City Chiefs in the opening week. This is a brutal schedule for them. 4 of the last 5 meetings between these teams in Houston have gone OVER.
