This is the week of the NFL season that a lot of people tend to circle on the calendar, as it falls on Thanksgiving Weekend. There is nothing quite like a full day of football on a National holiday, when you can sit back, watch the games, eat some great food, and maybe cash a winning ticket or two. There are three games set to go on Thanksgiving Day, one of which is on our list of must bet games in Week 12. Besides the whole holiday thing, this is also usually when we begin to get serious about looking at the Wild Card picture. By Week 12, teams usually have a very clear idea of what they need to do the rest of the way to be playing beyond the end of the regular season. With all of that in mind, let’s take a look at a few of the games that jump off the Week 12 schedule so you can bet on their NFL odds.
2020 NFL Betting Preview for Games in Week 12
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers
By the time 8 PM rolls around on Thanksgiving Day, most people are loaded up with a ton of food and booze and ready to take a nap. There is no way any football fan is falling asleep during a Steelers/Ravens matchup. This is always a hard-hitting affair with genuine hatred on display. These two teams do not like one another, and with both teams believing that they have what it takes to win the AFC North this season, we could be looking at a great battle.
Arizona Cardinals at New England Patriots
Every season, we see some favorites fall and a dark horse team emerge. While the Patriots are not as heavily fancied as they usually are heading into a new season, there are still plenty of football fans and media types who reckon they won’t skip a beat, especially with Cam Newton now in the fold. I am still not entirely sold, though, and if I had to pick a dark horse this season, I might be willing to throw some love in the direction of the Arizona Cardinals. This game should give me some idea of just how good or off base my assessments are for each team.
Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
There is often some debate as to which game is the best matchup in any given week in the NFL, but it would be hard to argue against this one being the cream of the Week 12 crop. The defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs will be on the road to face Brady and company in Tampa Bay. Patrick Mahomes has a very long way to go to come close to matching what Brady has done in his career, but this is a young man who has all the tools to do it. How will he match up against the GOAT in Week 12?
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers
The NFC North is one division that seems to be pretty cut and dried in terms of which teams have a shot at winning it, but I think we could be in for a surprise here. The Packers are coming into this season on the heels of a 13-win season, but all is not happy down at Lambeau Field. There seems to be some genuine discontent in the locker room, which could spill over onto the field. Could the addition of Nick Foles in Chicago put the Bears back in contention? This division might be one to pay attention to.
I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
