Chicago had trouble moving the football in Week 1 versus Green Bay. But, they had an excuse. Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky didn’t play at all during the preseason. He wasn’t sharp when completing 26-of-45 for 228 yards and throwing an interception. Trubisky should be much sharper on Sunday.
Not only that, but the Bears only rushed the football 15 times. Coach Matt Nagy will come up with a different game plan to attack the Broncos, who aren’t great at stopping the run. That should lead to a win and cover.

Denver’s defense actually played well in the Raiders loss. Although they didn’t intercept a pass or get a sack, the Broncos held Oakland to 98 rushing yards. They held Derek Carr to only 259 passing yards. Those are both victories.
More importantly, Joe Flacco got it together in the second half. He looked good when completing 21-of-31 for 268 yards and a TD. There’s a big chance Flacco outplays Trubisky in this. Mitch must show that he can carry the team on the road. Although the Broncos were susceptible to the run last season, they didn’t show that versus the Raiders in Week 1.
If Denver can get off to a much better start, they should beat the Bears straight up on Sunday. Chicago showed real problems on offense while Flacco won’t make mistakes. Denver to win is the play.
