Why Bet The Dallas Cowboys?

The Cowboys have a ‘real’ quarterback and plenty of talent at the skill positions. Dallas (4-1 SU, 4-0- 1 ATS) won its fourth straight game by pounding the hell out of Cincinnati in its stunning 28-14 Week 5 win while easily covering the NFL betting line as a 2.5-point underdog. The Boys are ranked an encouraging ninth in scoring (25.8 ppg) and an equally impressive eighth in points allowed (18.2 ppg) as rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has yet to throw an interception and running back Ezekiel Elliott has run wild the last three weeks. For the season, Prescott has completed 107 of 155 passes for 1,239 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions while Elliott has rushed for 546 yards and five scores in 109 carries.

Why Bet The Green Bay Packers?

The Packers are playing at home and still have the edge at quarterback. Green Bay (3-1 SU, 1-2- 1 ATS) has won two straight games by an identical seven points, but looked uninspiring at best in its 23-16 Week 5 win over the Giants on Sunday night while earning a push as a -7- point favorite. Aaron Rodgers passed or 259 yards and two touchdowns in the win but also tossed two costly interceptions to help New York keep it close until the very end. This season, the Packers are ranked 12th in scoring (20.7 ppg) and an identical 12th in points allowed (24.5 ppg). Rodgers has passed for 876 yards and nine touchdowns while running back Eddie Lacy has rushed for team-high 259 yards. Veteran wide receiver Jordy Nelson has caught tem-high 21 passes for 244 yards and five touchdowns.

My Free Prediction and Pick

I’m going to get right to the point by saying that I like the streaking Dallas Cowboys to get the ATS win at the very least while pushing Green Bay for the outright win. The Packers might be playing at home in this contest, but they’ve compiled an uninspiring 2-4-1 ATS in their last seven home games while Dallas has posted a near- perfect 4-0- 1 ATS mark in their last five games and encouraging 13-6 ATS mark in their last 19 road games. The Cowboys have a great offensive line and powerful rushing attack that will likely chew up a bunch of time against the Packers, thereby, effectively keeping Aaron Rodgers on the sideline as much as possible. The Packers also aren’t quite firing on all cylinders in my estimation and have a defense that is solid, but certainly not great. The Cowboys hold the edge in scoring and points allowed and are my pick to cover the NFL betting line in this Week 6 showdown. My Pick: Green Bay 24 Dallas 23
