In Week 12 of the 2013 season, the Panthers won 20-16 in Miami. Cam Newton converted a fourth-and-10 situation at his 20 with a completion to keep alive the Panthers’ final possession, and their touchdown with 43 seconds was the winner. Newton hit Greg Olsen with a 1-yard pass for the winning score to cap a 12-play drive. Carolina trailed 16-3 at one point. Ryan Tannehill was the Miami QB that day. The Fins still lead the all-time series 4-1.Who’s Favorite in the NFL Week 10 Odds Between Packers and Bears?
Why Bet On Miami?
The Fins are struggling but are still very much alive in the playoff hunt at 4-4. Since 2000, 44 teams have reached the halfway point of their season with a .500 or below winning percentage and advanced to the playoffs, including at least one in each season. Last year, there were four such teams: Detroit (4-4), Green Bay (4-4), Miami (4-4) and Pittsburgh (4-4). After missing a game due to cracked ribs, Miami’s Jay Cutler for 311 yards and three touchdowns with no picks in last week’s 27-24 loss against Oakland. it marked the first game of his career with at least 300 yards, three passing scores and no interceptions. Cutler hadn’t surpassed 230 yards in any other outing this season and now faces a Carolina defense allowing the fifth-fewest points per drive. Fins WR Jarvis Landry ranks second in the league with 56 catches and has 344 career receptions, the most by a player in his first four seasons in NFL history. The Dolphins will bring a 41-41 Monday night record into the game, making them one of four teams in the NFL with at least 40 victories on that day — along with San Francisco (48), Dallas (45) and Pittsburgh (44). Miami is the only team in the league never to go consecutive seasons without at least one appearance on Monday Night Football since it began in 1970. The Dolphins will be facing Carolina in a Monday night game for the first time, leaving six teams they have never faced on MNF: the Ravens, Texans, Lions, Vikings, Rams and Seahawks. The Dolphins are 8-8 against NFC teams on Monday Night Football. Dolphins safety T.J. McDonald’s eight-game suspension is finished, and he is expected to start on Monday night against the Panthers. If all goes to plan, it will be a big boost for a defense which has taken a step back the last few games. He’s also showed physicality and range over the summer and had some big hits. In addition to McDonald, Miami also expects to see the return of starting guard Ted Larsen, who tore his bicep and was put on short-term injured reserve.Team Statistics

Why Bet On Carolina?
The Carolina Panthers improved to 6-3 with a key 20-17 divisional victory over Atlanta last week. Also, Carolina rushed for 201 yards and two touchdowns against the Falcons, led by Newton (86 yards, one touchdown) and rookie running back Christian McCaffrey (66 yards, one touchdown). Before that game, McCaffrey had 117 yards on 49 carries — or 2.4 yards per carry. The eighth pick of the draft did most of his damage as a receiver prior to Sunday. Newton has been the leading rusher the past four games, with 251 yards on 40 carries. The Dolphins rank 31st in total offense, 30th in rushing yards per game and 31st in third-down efficiency. As a matter of fact, McCaffrey leads the NFC with 54 receptions and is the only player in the NFL this season with at least 150 rushing yards (183) and 50 catches (54). With eight catches on Monday, McCaffrey would surpass Reggie Bush (61 in 2006) for the most receptions by a rookie running back in his team’s first 10 games of a season in NFL history. Carolina’s veteran-laden defense is allowing a league-best 274.1 yards per game, but there’s room for improvement — creating more turnovers. The Panthers (6-3) only have eight takeaways in their first nine games ahead of Monday night’s game against the Miami Dolphins. That’s tied for 26th in the league, and well behind the league-leading Baltimore Ravens, which have forced 18 turnovers. Finally, don’t sell the offense short in contributing to the success of the defense. The Panthers lead the NFL in time of possession (33:29 minutes per game).Team Statistics
