Why are the Dolphins a good bet at +6?
The Dolphins’ defense had played well before the disastrous 38 points drubbing it took from the New England Patriots. Miami had held Tennessee to 20 points, the Jets to 12 points, and the Raiders to 20 points in 3 straight wins both against the spread and straight up.
Miami’s defense should play much better in Week 5 than it did in Week 4. If Miami can stop Cincinnati’s rushing attack, the secondary can sit in a Cover 2 and wait for Andy Dalton to make mistakes.

Why are the Bengals a good bet at -6?
Cincinnati refuses to lose. Even in the 21-31 loss to Carolina, Cincinnati tried to make a comeback. In Week 4, Cincinnati pulled off an improbable comeback for a 37-36 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Also, this is only Cincinnati’s second home game this season. That should give the Bengals plenty of motivation to beat the Miami Dolphins.

Miami Dolphins at Cincinnati Bengals Final Analysis
Close to 70% of NFL handicappers believe the Bengals cover the -6 spread. That’s too high of a percentage because in the NFL, parity reigns. Yes, Cincinnati provided a huge comeback to beat Atlanta in Week 4, and, yes, Miami looked terrible when losing to the New England Patriots.
But, the Pats know the Dolphins. New England routinely beats up on Miami while the Bengals are unfamiliar with this year’s Dolphins’ team. So, Miami blows a game. That doesn’t mean the defense that played so well from Week 1 through Week 3 suddenly turned bad.
It just means that Miami uses this week to figure out how to confuse Bengals’ quarterback Andy Dalton. Taking the points in this matchup.
