Why Bet On Miami at -3.5?

The Dolphins looked fantastic in their 34-27 Week 1 matchup against Atlanta last week as Josh Rosen made a statement in his case for the starting quarterback job. The 10th pick in the 2018 draft completed 13 for 20 passes for 191 yards with one interception, though he did lead the Fins on three scoring drives.

“The pick was pretty bad,” Rosen said. “There was some good, some bad and everything in between.”

Third string signal-caller Jake Rudock went 6 of 8 for 65 yards and one touchdown while running backs Myles Gaskin and Mark Walton each added a rushing touchdown in the win. Defensively, Dewayne Hendrix had two sacks and Nate Orchard added one sack.

Why Bet On Tampa Bay at +3.5?

The Buccaneers put up a great effort before falling to Pittsburgh 30-28 in Week 1. Veteran backup Ryan Griffin completed 26 of 43 passes for 330 yards and one touchdown after replacing starter Jameis Winston who went 6 of 8 for 40 yards and one touchdown.

“We executed pretty well and really established the run game,” Winston said. “When you run the football well, you get touchdowns on the first drive.”

Dare Ogunbowale rushed for a team-high 34 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Defensively, Deone Bucannon and Carl Nassib each had one sack.

Expert Analysis and Prediction for Dolphins vs Buccaneers

Miami and quarterback Josh Rosen, looked mostly great in their debut under head coach Brian Flores and I believe the Dolphins have finally gotten it right with their new GM and head coach. Unfortunately, Miami is 1-6 ATS in their last seven road games and I think the Dolphins are going to suffer a hard-fought loss against their in-state rivals in this Week 2 preseason affair.

Tampa Bay might have fallen to Pittsburgh in Week 1, but they looked really good, even in defeat and I believe they’re going to manage to hold it down at home in an absolute thriller that tops the Over/Under total! The Bucs have gone 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall and I believe they’re going to show up in this one despite the fact that head coach Bruce Arians has gone an uninspiring 9-13 in the preseason in his career and a discouraging 1-4 in Week 2 scrimmage contests.

Pick: Tampa Bay 27 Miami 23
