If recent history has shown us anything in the NFL, it is that getting back to the Super Bowl for a second straight year is incredibly tough. In fact, we now frequently see teams get there on a year and miss the playoffs or go out early the next, with the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons being prime examples. When the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl last season, an entire city heaved a sigh of relief, but they also believed that they had a team set to dominate for quite some time.
