Last Meeting

Arizona beat San Francisco 18-15 in overtime last week but it was costly. Palmer threw 19 yards to Fitzgerald with 32 seconds left in overtime for the contest’s only touchdown. The costly loss was a season-ending injury suffered by outside linebacker Markus Golden. Arizona has a few options to replace Golden, who’s developed into a feared pass-rusher. He had 12.5 sacks last season, but had yet to record one through four games this season. The team could replace him with Haason Reddick. Arizona’s first-round pick this year played defensive end during his senior year at Temple and converted to inside linebacker at the Senior Bowl in January. Meanwhile, left tackle D.J. Humphries re-injured his knee in practice last week. It’s why Humphries missed his third straight game Sunday after he seemed to have a shot at returning. Humphries might return this week. The Cardinals’ offensive line is in shambles as Palmer has taken a league-worst 17 sacks.
