The New England Patriots will upset the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins and win the AFC East

It’s strange to see the New England Patriots as the longest shot on the board to win the AFC East. Buffalo is the favorite at +126.

The Jets, because they landed Aaron Rodgers, are second choice at +246. Miami is a +300 third choice favorite. The Pats are at +800.

On paper, the odds make sense, but Bill Belichick made the smartest hire of the offseason. Belichick added Bill O’Brien, Alabama’s former offensive coordinator, to run New England’s.

It’s an important hire because O’Brien and New England starting quarterback Mac Jones know each other well. O’Brien didn’t coach Jones but Mac helped O’Brien learn Alabama’s offense.

Not only that, but oddsmakers are disregarding Belichick’s defensive mastermind abilities. Bill is going to ensure the D is in the top ten in the league. So if O’Brien and Jones can get the offense going, watch out.

Denver will Upset the Chiefs and win the AFC West

Sean Payton will help Russell Wilson resurrect his career. Payton had options. Sean wouldn’t have taken the head coaching job at Denver if he didn’t think he could help Russ back to the top of the quarterback summit.

What also attracted Payton to Denver was the Broncos defense. The D remains one of the best units in the league.

No doubt, upsetting the Chiefs and winning the AFC West won’t be easy. But Denver’s schedule looks more than workable and the odds, +550, which makes the Ponies third choice behind KC and the Bolts, are fair. So taking a stab makes sense.

Baltimore will Win the AFC North Division

The AFC this season could look much different than it did last season. For sure, the Cincinnati Bengals are the team to beat to win the AFC North.

But, wow, the Baltimore Ravens are loaded. The Edgar Allan Poes managed to not only resign Lamar Jackson but to also entice Odell Beckham Jr. to become a Raven.

The early returns are positive. Jackson and Beckham Jr. appear to have already developed a great rapport. Baltimore’s defense had a resurgence last season, finishing third when allowing 18.5 points each game.

At +246 odds, Baltimore is a great play to take the AFC North.

Super Bowl 58 will pit the Ravens against the 49ers and San Francisco will Win

Baltimore versus San Francisco will be this year’s Super Bowl matchup. The 49ers are at +910 to win Super Bowl 58. The Ravens are at +1925.

Baltimore offers value but in an SB against the Niners, the Ravens will fall. San Francisco is too good on both sides of the ball.

Javon Hargrave plays on the same line as Nick Bosa this season. San Francisco has the top running back in Christian McCaffrey and the top overall player in the league in Deebo Samuel.

Brock Purdy should get the start. If he stays healthy, Purdy will ensure the Niners move the football and score touchdowns. San Francisco beats Baltimore to win Super Bowl LVIII.
