Top 5 Teams Offering Fair Odds to Make the NFL Playoffs
** Odds listed are to make the NFL Playoffs
Cincinnati Bengals -142
-142 on the defending AFC Champions to just make the playoffs? When teams get good in the NFL, they tend to stay good for a while. The Bengals should be good for a long time because they have a top five quarterback in Joe Burrow, a top five running back in Joe Mixon, and a top five wide receiver in Ja’Marr Chase.
The offensive line is stacked after the Bengals signed former Dallas right tackle La’ell Collins, And get this, Cincy, with a late first round pick, drafted the best safety in this year’s class in Daxton Hill. -142 is a gift.
Denver Broncos -147
Yes, the AFC West is stacked. But Denver has Russell Wilson and an amazing group of wide receivers. Both Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton will catch over 80 passes this season.
The offensive line is good. The defense is great. So there’s no reason why the Denver Broncos should offer anything less than -175 to make the playoffs. Jump on these odds if you think they’re fair. The closer we get to training camps in July, the lower the odds the Broncos will offer to make the 2023 NFL Playoffs.
Los Angeles Chargers -155
The Bolts added corner J.C. Jackson and strong side linebacker Kahlil Mack to a defense that already includes safety Derwin James and end Joey Bosa. Los Angeles’ defense could end up the best in the league.
Justin Herbert is the QB for what should one of the best offenses in the AFC. As long as Keenan Allen, Herbert, and Austin Ekeler stay healthy, the Bolts will make the playoffs.
New Orleans Saints -186
A lot of draft gurus dislike the Saints’ strategy. New Orleans prefers to use draft capital to move up in the first round to draft starters. So when the Saints moved up to take Chris Olave and then Trevor Penning, many gurus gave them a B- at best.
But the Saints are loaded. Olave will stretch the field and allow Michael Thomas to work underneath. Penning will start at left tackle.
Not only that, but on the Monday after the NFL Draft, New Orleans signed Tyrann Mathieu. Don’t be surprised that if Jameis Winston has a bounce back season, he got hurt early in 2021, the Saints upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and win the NFC South.
Tennessee Titans -116
Yes, the Titans traded arguably one of the top five wide receivers in the NFL on draft day when they sent A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. But during free agency, the Titans picked up a decent WR in Robert Woods.
They also drafted Treylon Burks from Arkansas. Treylon is an A.J. Brown clone. The defense will be good. So if Derrick Henry can stay healthy, he missed a bunch of games last season, the Titans should win the AFC South.
