Why bet on the Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts may not be having a lot of joy this season, but the Titans are a team that they always seem to do well against. They are 4-0 against the Titans over the past two seasons, which includes a 2-0 record on the road in Tennessee. They are also a good bet ATS in weeks 5 through 9 of the NFL season, going 9-2 ATS in the last 3 seasons during that stretch. While these are all positive trends, it still cannot be ignored that this team is severely lacking in the run department. The good news there, though is that they may finally have broken out, as they put up 161 yards on the ground versus the Texans last week, which was the first time they had passed the 100-yard barrier this season.

Why bet on the Tennessee Titans

When you have a young QB who is still getting used to life in the NFL, you want to give him as much help as possible. The Titans have done a good job of protecting Mariotta, and have a run game going that minimizes the number of risks he has to take when throwing the ball. He is not necessarily being asked to be a game manager, but is being put in a position where he gets to make a lot of high percentage throws, simply because the running game is making things a good deal easier. This is a balanced attack that is very hard to defend.
