A Recount on Indianapolis’s Top NFL Spreads for 2016 Season!

Week 2

Indianapolis at Denver Broncos (-5)

Analysis:
The Broncos may be the defending Super Bowl champions, but the Indianapolis Colts have pretty much owned them – even after Peyton Manning departed for the Mile High City a few years back.

Andrew Luck and the Colts have won two straight against the Broncos and three of four since Luck became the starter in Indy, including last season’s narrow 27-24 home win as a 3-point underdog.

Indianapolis went 4-4 SU and ATS on the road last season, reinforcing them as my pick to cover the spread against the online NFL odds in this Week 2 showdown.

The Pick: Indianapolis 28 Denver 24

Week 4

Indianapolis (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

Analysis:
Sure, the Jaguars snapped a three-game skid against Indianapolis by blowing the Colts out of the water en route to a stunning 51-16 home win last December, but that’s one of the big reasons I like Indy to get the big road win this time around. The Colts have the big edge at quarterback and head coach (I think) and will give the Jags some payback that they don’t soon forget in this Week 4 clash.

The Pick: Indianapolis 30 Jacksonville 21

Week 5

Chicago Bears at Indianapolis (-3.5)

Analysis:
While I really respect Chicago Bears head coach John Fox and genuinely believe he’s the right man to get things turned around in the Windy City after the Bears foolishly fired former head coach Lovie Smith, I just don’t see Chicago bringing home the bacon in this Week 5 matchup.

While Chicago won four of their final five rod games in 2015, the Colts have the edge at quarterback with Andrew Luck over Jay Cutler and they’re playing at home where the closed out last season by going 3-1 SU and ATS.

The Pick: Indianapolis 27 Chicago 21

Week 7

Indianapolis (-3.5) at Tennessee Titans

Analysis:
I like second-year Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota, but the Titans have their work cut out just to get back to being a respectable NFL franchise if you ask me. Indianapolis has won nine straight against their AFC South division rivals while compiling an incendiary 8-1 ATS mark along the way. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the Colts are going to lay another huge smackdown on the Titans in this one!

The Pick: Indianapolis 35 Tennessee
