After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers battered them in the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs vowed to make improvements to their team. The Tampa Bay defense was in the Kansas City backfield numerous times throughout the game, forcing Patrick Mahomes out of his rhythm. In order to prevent that from happening again, the Chiefs made numerous upgrades to their offensive line.
With the improvements that were made and having a healthy Mahomes and a stacked offense, the Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season. Kansas City should be one of, if not the best team in the NFL this season.
With all of the preseason hype surrounding them, the betting public is taking a look at how they want to bet. A bet on the Chiefs won’t gain you as much as if you bet on an underdog, but you can still make some money betting on Kansas City’s NFL odds.
2021 NFL Betting | Kansas City Chiefs Preview for the Upcoming Season
Over/Under Win Total
Now having a 17 game regular season, the win totals are a little higher this season. The oddsmakers have set the number of wins for the Chiefs at 12.5. The Chiefs have a tough start to their season, as they host the Chargers, travel to Baltimore, and then host the Chargers.
They also have some other tough battles, as they host Buffalo, travel to Washington, go to Tennessee, and host the Packers and Cowboys. The NFL didn’t do them any favors this season. We think that the 12.5 could be a little high, and we see them finishing at 11-6.
Divisional Odds
The AFC West should be better this season. Denver has a very tough defense, and with Justin Herbert having a full season under his belt, the Chargers should be a very good football team. Kansas City is a -250 to win the division.
As of now, it’s hard to imagine another team winning the West, but if some key players were to get injured throughout the season, Los Angeles or Denver could sneak up on the Chiefs. For now, we think that the Chiefs should run away with the AFC West.
Conference Odds
At a +250, the Chiefs are the favorites to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. They’ll have to get through the likes of Buffalo, New England, Tennessee, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Los Angeles to make it to the title game. We think that they have a great shot of representing the AFC in the Super Bowl for the third straight season.
Odds of Winning the Super Bowl
At a +500, the Chiefs are the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season. With an improved offensive line, an arsenal full of weapons on offense, and a defense that was very good at the end of last season, Kansas City has a great shot at hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season. Any time that you have Patrick Mahomes leading your team, you have a great chance of winning the big one!
