The struggling Minnesota Vikings will look to snap out of the funk they’ve been in when they hit the road to take on a Washington Redskins that is looking to find its own consistency as we move closer to the stretch run portion of the regular season. With both teams semi-desperate to get the ‘W’ in this NFC clash, let’s find out where the value lies in the NFL odds.

Why Bet on the Minnesota Vikings?

Minnesota (5-3 SU, 5-3 ATS) has lost three straight games since opening the season with five straight wins and comes into this contest off a humbling 22-16 loss against division rival Detroit last time out. The Vikings have played some stellar defense in not allowing more than 22 points in any of their last three games, but Sam Bradford and the offense has been limited to 16 points or less in each contest.

Why Bet on the Washington Redskins?

The Redskins (4-3- 1 SU, 5-3 ATS) had a bye last week after playing Cincinnati to a 27-all tie the previous week and falling to Detroit in their game prior to that. Kirk Cousins and company have been limited to 20 points or less in two of their last four games but the Skins have limited four of their last five opponents to 20 points or less.

Minnesota at Washington Expert Pick: Minnesota

While 62 percent of betting public likes Washington to get the outright win and accompanying ATS cover, I’m ‘going the other way’ with my pick on this contest as I expect Minnesota’s aggressive defense to get after Cousins and force him into a couple of costly turnovers. Minnesota has compiled an incendiary 19-5 ATS mark in its last 24 games while also going 9-2 ATS in their last 11 road games. While Washington has gone 5-1 ATS in its last six games, the Skins are an uninspiring 1-4 ATS in their last five meetings against the Vikes. Simply put, I like Minnesota to get the road upset and ATS cover. Pick: Vikings +2.5 Points
