Saints at Vikings (-3) New Orleans has the offense, but Minnesota is at home and has an elite defense. Vikings win.

Patriots (-4.5) at Saints Tom Brady and the superior Patriots win in The Big Easy, mostly because they’re the only team in this matchup with a competent defense.

Week 3

Saints at Panthers (-3) New Orleans falls to 0-3 by losing at NFC South rival Carolina.

Week 4

Saints at Dolphins (-3) in London The Dolphins may have won 10 games and they may have the better defense in this matchup, but I’m backing New Orleans in this London showdown, mostly because I believe Drew Brees is going to show Miami’s Ryan Tannehill how to really play quarterback.

Lions at Saints (-2.5) The Saints hold it down in a shootout at home against the generally dysfunctional Lions.

Week 7

Saints at Packers (-7.5) Ho-hum, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers dispatch the visiting Saints in a high-scoring shootout.

Week 8

Bears at Saints (-6) Really? If this game isn’t over by halftime, I’ll be completely stunned. The Saints win and win big!

Week 9

Buccaneers at Saints (-1.5) This NFC South divisional matchup will be a thriller that I’m expecting the home team to win by a field goal.

Week 10

Saints at Bills (-2) The Saints go marching into upstate New York looking for a road and they’ll leave with one against the Buffalo Bills!

Week 11

Redskins at Saints (-2.5) New Orleans wins another high-scoring shootout as Brees out-duels Washington’s Kirk Cousins.

Week 12

Saints (-2) at Rams The Saints will pick up another road win by simply outscoring the Rams, while giving Brees gives another lesson on how to play the quarterback position, this time to young signal-caller Jared Goff.

Week 13

Panthers at Saints (-2.5) Revenge will be the name of this game as the Saints extract some from Carolina by getting the field goal home win.

Week 14

Saints at Falcons (-7) The Saints will drop this NFC South road date against a Falcons team that is actually a it more explosive offensively than they are.

Week 15

Jets at Saints (-6.5) Ha…this Week 15 matchup looks like another contest New Orleans should have well in hand by the time halftime rolls around.

Week 16

Falcons at Saints (PK) I like the Saints to hold down the fort at home to get the regular season split against Matt Ryan and the Falcons.

Week 17

Saints at Buccaneers Again, I’m expecting a regular season split and that means New Orleans will close out their 2017 regular season with a loss. Still, I’ve got the Saints to finish with eight wins, although I’m thinking they could reach nine wins in 2017 if their offseason additions help shore up a defense that has more leaks in it that No. 45’s White House these days.
