Why Giants over 6 is a good bet?

If you look at the moves made by the Giants in the offseason, you might well question what the front office is up to. They continue to say that they have a plan, which includes changing the culture of this team, which began with moving out Odell Beckham Jr. While this might be seen as a negative, word is that he was not a positive influence in the locker room.

The Giants closed out last season with a 5-11 record, but they did start to look better in the final few weeks of the year. That may be a sign that they have turned a bit of a corner, although that really does remain to be seen.

The Giants were also busy in free agency, bringing in the likes of Golden Tate and Jabril Pepper, so they are certainly getting some upgrades in key positions. They also drafted QB Daniel Jones, who they see as the successor to Eli Manning.

Why Giants under 6 is a good bet?

While moving on from OBJ may end up being a positive move, that is still a very big hole to fill. Golden Tate will help, but will that be enough for this Giants offense. Also, just how much does Eli manning have left in the tank? His production levels have been on a steady decline for the last couple of seasons, so can we really expect him to come out and suddenly look great again.

The Giants have made some great moved in boosting their secondary, but they could well be put under a ton of pressure if the D-line continues to struggle in their attempts to get at opposing QB’s. They were 30th in the league in that regard last season, so that really needs to improve if the Giants are to start winning more regularly.

New York Giants 2019 Regular Season Win Final Analysis

The Philadelphia Eagles are probably going to be the team to beat in the East, while the Cowboys will be looking to bounce back after a sub-par season. The Giants and the Redskins are both a bit of an unknown commodity here, so it’s tough to see how wither of them will do in divisional play.

For me, I think the fate of the Giants comes down to what they get out of Eli Manning. If he starts to struggle again from the off, how quickly does Shurmur start to think about pulling the plug and sticking in Daniel Jones. I see another season of struggles for the New York Giants.
